  1. The info here was really helpful for my rebuild. Thanks all
  2. Is there one available for our cars? The WRX ones are not compatible..
  3. Cool. Hoping to finish my engine swap and trans swap this week. I got a shorter shift boot from red line goods.
  4. Why did you go with a special driveshaft? Is it aluminum? 1-piece?
  5. I checked the service manuals and it looks like the neutral switch is the one towards the rear of both transmissions (5MT and 6MT). correct?
  6. The Conti DWS are good for all-season. SCHM1AN, how much are you asking for the Blizzaks?
  7. I'm putting in an 07 sti r180 so it better work lol
  8. hello. I'm in the Milwaukee area too
  9. do you know what compound they are?
  10. I think I'll have time to install the rears later this week. I'll need custom brake lines made up.
  11. well that's a fail.. the 08+ WRX and STI are 15/16" for the MC bore like the LGT. Sure enough, the booster and MC I Just got is marked 15/16". So, I might see if I can source an aftermarket MC and reservoir to use with the newer booster.
  12. Borg Warner is nice but comparably sized turbos don't outperform the GTX by that much. There was a nice writeup comparing a GTX3076 with a EFR7670. http://blog.perrinperformance.com/borg-warner-efr7670-turbo-exposed-and-tuned-part-2/
  13. I'm hoping the biggest difference will be from going 15/16" bore to 1-1/16" bore. I may track down a larger volume reservoir also. My car is going to be a 2011 STI at its heart just about.. lol
  14. Feel really bad for the guys that have had bad luck.. fingers crossed
  15. I just ordered a 2011 STI master cyl and brake booster with hose. I am swapping an STI intake manifold also so I'm going to use the hose it comes with. I don't see any reason not to use the 2011 STI one...
  16. What bearings did you use in the build you just did? I'm going with King bearings for my build. I like the design of them better than ACL
  17. Holy crap that sucks! Did you measure the crank dimensions? I think AWD Tuning in Texas keeps built short blocks on the shelf if you need one in a hurry.
  18. Does your GTX3076R not hold boost up top or does it just slide out of its efficiency range? I'll be running the same DOM1.5XT-R that I have. I think it's essentially a stock location GTX3071. I'll be running stage 1 cams with porting and upgraded springs and valves. I'll be running pump gas to start but may make either a 110 race gas or E98 tune for runs at the strip.
  19. Right on. I'm interested to see how my setup compares with a slightly smaller turbine and stock location turbo.
  20. it can be wired up for an ebrake cutout. It is programmed for that functionality also.
  21. I heard picking up the vehicle speed wire from the cluster should work. The MapDCCD has an internal 3 axis g-force sensor. I suppose I could use vampire connectors, if that is what you are referring to that the DCCDPro comes with. I'd prefer to solder it or add it to the ECU wiring harness pin.
