  1. Didn’t end up doing the nut and bolt but ended up doing a M8x1.25 Heli-Coil kit. Turned out great and very strong. The only time I’ll mess with this is putting on or taking off the flange for the GS TMIC. Other than that, I’ll be just removing silicone hose. The new SS threads are very strong and hold well. If it ever becomes an issue again 100% will need to order in studs and stuff locally they got nothing really.
  2. Thanks, the GT we have right now didn't come with an undertray and we've been putting it off for a while now. can't stand how dirty the bay gets so i'm trying to source an inexpensive and possibly used undertray in various years that could work. I heard from a friend that the GR one work but wanted to confirm.
  3. can anyone confirm what USDM under tray/splash panel will fit a 05 JDM Swapped front end?
  4. Bumping from the dead! Dealt with this on the stock VF40. Then dealt with it on the VF52. Now dealing with it on the AVO380 -_- I ended up making a larger hole and retapping the VF40. VF52 surprisingly didn’t give me trouble. But still a concern. We use a GS TMIC also it has an adapter flange on top. I like the idea of studs and have used but and bolts before. The problem is they fall out or down once you remove the nut holding the intercooler or adapter flange on (in our case). How do you guys hold it in place or are you using the threads to hold it there and use using a nut to make sure it doesn’t back out? The GS adapter flange has a short clearance on the left side so can’t use long studs or bolts as clearance is the issue. Also need to accommodate a hose on that goes onto the adapter flange. Any ideas?
  5. Thanks again for the help yesterday. I didn't get a chance to do a night video or pics though.
  6. Thanks I think WRXUSA just showed me the same thing. Thanks. Idk if it'll fit properly though since the Bumper doesn't have an area for the protrusions on the back.
  7. Just got her back today! Now I need a license plate adapter. Any suggestions? Rear support is on as well. Needed to grind down the weld a little on the drivers side. That was preventing it from going into the tunnel. Passenger side slid in but the first threaded piece needed to be removed on both sides. Need to do a lot more work on it now that it's back! Headlights will be wired up shortly so there can be removed.
  8. haha. thanks. been sitting on the parts for about two years or so... needed money for paint LOL. JDM power folding mirrors are on, laile rear support is on as well at the shop. hopefully picking it up tomorrow. Then then need to wire up the JDM HIDs Are JDM rain visors still available?
  9. I forgot to post these a while ago. Its in the paint shop right now.
  10. Damn it. I just got mine from JP. Wish I had known there was one state side. Anyway, did you try and fit it up or no? I'm wondering if I'm the wagon if you can slide it all the way in vs the sedan where I think I need to remove the threaded nuts that are welded to the chassis in there or the tunnel area is a little bit bigger on the wagon so the end pieces can just go over them.
  11. Doing this to my sedan soon. Once it comes out of the paint shop. Don't mind the fitment. I need to remove the threads on the inside of the tunnel that is only used for the OEM hitch and the brackets will slide right in. The drivers side weld on the bracket is a little big so I may need to grind it down a little or pound in the corner areas a little for clearance.
  12. I've been hoarding a KNS bracket and Z32 rear calipers for a while now [emoji23] similar to how I did for the ATS setup as mentioned in this thread. The Z32 is a lot cheaper than the JDM 2 pot rear and 06/07 WRX calipers. The difference is they won't sit as close to the rotor as the Subaru ones but they look almost identical.
  13. oh shit... LOL sorry didn't see this. I finished it and ended up swapping the grey and brown with the black and it was all good. I just put the car into the paint shop last week friday so when it comes back I'll update.
  14. Shit. Bought one because safety. Waiting. Guess I'll need to modify it then. LOL. I was looking at the shape of the mounting hole that goes into the chassis and they look similar. Hopefully it's just because of the Bumper skin mount. I cannot believe no one makes a rear JDM bumper beam.
  15. I drove around with it and it looks really weird to me. ended up swapping it last night. I need to wire in the folding since i figure out which wires were the correct ones LOL.
  16. could you do me a HUGE favor LOL. could you measure that upper bumper mount? i want to make sure it'll fit before ordering one. If I modify the Sedan one I don't know if it'll be rigid enough to hold up the skin anymore. I ended up ordering that rear brace
  17. RSD says that it fits both wagon and sedan. Looks like I'll need to modify the Bumper stay brackets to fit it though. Are the wagon and sedan support bracket the same?
  18. That'll work. I can't believe no one tried to make one. I'll need one of these for sure. Japan parts says this is only for a wagon? Are then interchangeable?
  19. Does anyone sell a bolt on rear support Beam for the JDM bumper cover?
  20. on the JDM set no. On the USDM set, yes. I'll run out to the car in a little bit. I need to get the electrical hooked up since we are painting the car at the end of this week The bases were set to the closed position before they were set (why idk) and when the mirrors were pulled out they aren't fully extended so it flops around LOL I will need to change to USDM mirror glass is my understanding since the JDM set is switched from the USDM. I also need to fucken re-pin everything since I didn't account for the black wires. UGH!
  21. Thanks for this. I know I subscribed but couldn't find it again for some reason. UGH! anyway, How do I know if it has the heating option on my power folding mirrors or not other than taking it apart? Is there any type of wire coloring or wire difference? My JDM mirror have two additional black wires at the mirror connector
  22. haha. are you attached to that dust shield or something? I just unbolted the 4 bolts and removed the dust shield completely. I hate when rocks get stuck between it and the rotor. Pretty irritating sound
  23. Viewing on Tapatalk and I'm only seeing images really. So I'm assuming you ran two wires for the folding portion from one side of the car to the other so there are now 4 and you spliced them together for positive and negative which goes into the switch circuit? I'm trying to power the mirrors directly with either 9v or 12v from the battery directly and they won't fold. Am I missing something here?
