Yep. I'd like to remove the spacers. One step closer to being the LGT wagon that never was.
-
No, it sits forward. In 1/3/5 there is a 1/4" between the bezel and the shifter.
-
I know. I have the STI SS, designed and intended for the LGT in my OBXT.
-
I have an sti short shifter for an lgt in my car now. It stud more forward, but works. I THINK you can use the stock shifter, though. There should be sufficient room.
The drive shaft, I have heard, has a different bearing offset but I haven't been able to compare them.
I believe some have done the spacer removal without the drive shaft swap. I'm not sure on needing the lgt steering universal joint, but I believe it is necessary.
-
I went through this before, and to do it "right" you need the LGT steering universal joint, all of the LGT bolts (to use after removing the spacers), an LGT trans crossmember (just the ones perpindicular to the centerline of the car), the LGT bolts for the rear crossmember, an LGT drive shaft, and LGT upper control arms and bump stops.
Exhaust is the same, so no worries there.
I priced it out, and not including the rear upper control arms, the cost was like $1300 from the dealer.
Some have said that you do not need the LGT bolts, that you can simply put the spacers on the other side of the subframes and then use the stock bolts.

What wheels you got? Also, what is the width of stock '05 wheels? 7.5? less?
My OBXT wheels.
17x7 +48, so they will be 5mm extraflush over stock LGT wheels

Someone buy my wheels! They would look sick on a sedan!
-
Was that you waving like crazy on Emory the other day?
-
I have 2. My old one is an original Impulse with a WAS board. I'd love to sell it, if I could. The WAS is a little outdated, and the eyes aren't hooked up, but battery life jumped through the roof with it compared to the stock board.
The other one, the one I use, is a stock PM8.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any chance to play at ALL last season.

I play Paintball in Libertytown!
Someone buy my Skis, and my OEM wheels please!
Skis for $200
Wheels for $325
VBG1 for $200
Come on people!
-
No, but my skis are 169's and are twin tip. Like adult ski blades!
-
Someone needs to buy my skis!
I was asking $300, but I'll take $200 now.
I also need my stock wheels gone now! Locals only, $325.

If you change your mind, just shoot me an offer. Right now they are just collecting dust. 01rs25 gave me an offer the day I posted them, I held onto them for him, but he went ahead and bought something else.
No hardware, you'd need to buy that separately. See my FS thread here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-va-fold-down-rear-seats-2007-2-5i-sedan-171413.html?t=171413&highlight=seats
Pm'd.

Offers?
I want the Rotas, but can't really afford them and they aren't a color I like .
If they were Silver, I'd consider them. But right now I'm thinking about picking up a set of Drag DR-34's to clear my Brembos as a hold-me-over.
I also don't know if a 17x7.5 +48 will actually fit on my car without rubbing.
-
I got a 1.05 unit and wanted to offset the cost.
Tell your wife it's vital to the operation of the car! It's not a lie!
-
BarManBean - you should buy my VBG1! I can meat you in Baltimore, even!
-
Anyone want to buy my VBG1 (1.04 unit)? $200 shipped!
-
They look great in person!

FP is 10 Micron. Not 3 Micron. FP uses a sock style filter. http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=FP4ANFilter&Category_Code=Acc-OilLines
Dont believe every thing you read on a forum. There is tons of misinformation floating around.
Odd. I could have sworn I saw 3 micron before.
Good enough for me.
I'll need one of these, and a DW65, please!
-
Particulate from the heads traveling into the turbo. Turbo is last in line for oil. So oil passes through top end, then to turbo. Aftermarket turbo manufacturers have seen many bearing failures from contaminated oil.
Do you think this 10micron is fine, and the FP 3micron unnecessary?
-
So what is this filter going to stop that the standard oil filter won't?
-
why is that one^ much better??
It's rated for particulate filtration (3-micron). I don't know anything about the filter used in this kit.
Do you have any datasheets for this filter, Mike?
Edit: Looking at the IP&T website, it says it's a 10 micron filter.
I wish I had a better picture of the medium.

AN fittings do not require any kind of teflon taping. You use Teflon tape on pipe fittings only.
If you want to use SOMETHING, then a LITTLE oil-based lubricant can help prevent the threads from galling.
In an AN fitting, the threads don't do the sealing, the flared surface does.
-
Hmm...
Any details on the filtering medium?
Can you get the kit without the filter (so I could use an FP -4AN inline filter)?

But that rear upper control arm is a different PN, I think. I just don't know the difference between them.
Don't worry about the exhaust shield. I don't think it matters. The one in my 5MT XT is stamped "4EAT" or something. I don't believe that heat shield makes a difference.
