  1. Pretty sure this is your guy: https://parts.subaru.com/p/subaru__/Hose-Water/49227006/14472AA050.html Item #2 from this diagram? https://static.opposedforces.com/epc_img/366495103602.png
  2. Good man. This is the main reason my car has sat - I built it to be a weekend toy back when my first was born, and ever since my weekends have largely been dedicate to other, more important things. Not that they are mutually exclusive, but the car fell way down the list of priorities. BTW I am in MA, so Lime Rock would be my track of choice. I appreciate the wisdom. I definitely have the time to wait, and like I said earlier - I'd rather leave some on the table and have it go to the right buyer than squeeze every last penny out of it on auction to some rando. The key is going to be measured investment into the things it needs to be ready and more desirable for sale when the time comes. The upside is that the investments will make it easier to drive in the meantime (replacing my 10y/o summer tires with an all season, for example). This sounds a lot like encouragement to never let it go!
  3. Woof. Yeah that would be a tough pill to swallow but I understand the market is crap and it’s a pretty niche vehicle so it would take the right buyer at the right time. Definitely tilts the scales in favor of a part out because then I could sell a clean chassis at a much more competitive price to someone looking for a clean slate for their own build.
  4. I’ve been thinking about it while waiting for some answers to my questions from the folks at BaT. They were encouraging me to list it no reserve, which frankly is pretty intimidating. My gut feeling is I’d rather list it here at a fixed price and potentially leave some cash on the table than take the chance of getting hosed, but I need a few more answers before I make my decision. I have the FS thread all typed up - so if I decline to auction it I’ll set a price and list it in the next day or two.
  5. I get the struggle! Exactly why I’ve been unable to part with it for the past several years, even though I haven’t had the chance to drive it much. Honestly I’d be psyched for it to go to you or any other of the die hard enthusiasts here.
  6. Saturday morning works. I’m in Rehoboth so I could meet you anywhere along 44 from here to 24 to make it convenient.
  7. Haha yup still got ‘em. Let me know what day/time works for you and I can try to be available.
  8. TBD! I submitted it to Bring a Trailer so I guess I need to see how that plays out before I list it outright. I’ll be sure to keep folks updated here. Congrats on the anniversary and milestone!
  9. Great suggestion - thanks! Wow that is almost what I paid for the car in 2006!
  10. Haha I fully expect to, but I think it will be a relief as well. This has been weighing on me for years and I’m finally ready to let it go. Besides I might replace it with a GR86 if the stars align.
  11. Hey all - sad to say it but the time has come for me to part ways with my Legacy. The car sits way more than it should and frankly I need to move beyond my attachment to it. It's an understatement to say it has been a great car to drive for the past 16 years (!!!) and I have loved being a part of this community. I'd love for it to go to someone with the same passion for the platform, and will be making a sale thread in the classifieds. If you know anyone who has been looking for an exceptionally clean, original-owner, sub 90k mile 2006 LGT 5spd, I'd appreciate you pointing them my way.
  12. Thanks Tide! I thought the forum was gone for good. Glad to see you are still investing in it almost two decades later!
  13. Good luck with the sale, man. I'm sure that's a difficult decision given how much you've put into the car over the years. Wish I could help you with a ballpark value but I don't really know what the market is like these days. Your car was a fun build and will be a great starting point for someone looking for a project.
  14. Thanks for the link - jogged my memory from when I rewired the FPCM many years back. You can just make out the vent in the shadow on the left side of the pic. I'll check those vents and make some more mesh screens if needed.
  15. It’s at 89,5xx currently. I’m going to be driving it more this year now that I’m back to work full time. Only thing holding me back from year-round driving is the summer rubber. The tires turn 10 years old this year so they will be getting replaced with some all seasons in the fall. I wasn’t aware of any cabin venting that exits under the bumper skin. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks for the heads up.
  16. Yes that’s correct. Generally speaking it’s normal for the car to go full lean under no load & decel/falling revs. If it’s going lean under cruise/load then you have a problem.
  17. I feel sorry for everyone who doesn't own a GRP LGT... Great day for some minor paint correction and getting it ready for another driving season. This week I'm going to have the windshield replaced again - I had the original windshield replaced back in February while I had the cowl out to get rid of a mouse that took up residence on my cabin filter, but the installer didn't get a good seal between the molding and the body. Going with another installer this time, assuming they think they can do better. Pic below shows the screen I made to keep critters out of the airbox, and the ultrasonic deterrent I still need to wire up (I've had to do this on my other vehicles as well - that's living in the woods for ya). Last pic shows the gap between the windshield molding and the body - previous installer suggested using a heat gun to mold it into place, which is why I won't be going back to him.
  18. Bought new in October 2006 - just under 90k on the odo. Still love it. Hoping to replace the 10y/o summers on it soon, which will probably kick off some more fun projects.
  19. Looks like it’s 14462AA310. http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b13/type_13/intake_and_supply_system_turbocharger/air_duct/
  20. A bit involved but I relocated the battery to the trunk then made my own accessory fuse box in the battery’s original location. There’s also a decent amount of room in the driver side fog light area if you can get creative with a bracket.
  21. Of all the hardened mounts I’ve installed, the GrpN crossmember bushings seem to have added the most overall noise. Of course it could be cumulative since they were the last to go in, when I added the DCCD.
