dougall42
Anyone used Rockauto axle shafts?
rhino6303
I bought two for my honda when I had it still. They lasted fine. Try to buy new ones instead of the re-manufactured ones. Not sure about any for a subaru though.
dougall42
Thanks for the input. My thread should have been more on a comparison of Cardone vs Empi rather than Rockauto. I've had good service from them in the past.
iNVAR
Maybe use the search? http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/replace-rebuild-torn-cv-boot-and-axle-108975.html Tons of input in there about it, including huge problems with fitment. Better read up.
Max Capacity
IMO it's better to buy local so you can talk to the person in case something goes wrong. It may cost a few dollars more but your supporting the local economy and if there is a issue it can be resolved quickly in most cases. If your mail order axle is bad, how fast can you get a replacement ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
GTTuner
I have used them on my friends Baja, they looked like a better quality than the OE axles!

If your mail order axle is bad, how fast can you get a replacement ? x2. I recently had a run of bad parts from them ..mislabled boxes, broken parts, missing parts and poor remans. They were always very accommodating in getting me the right stuff but was a pita since I had to wait for the replacement to come in. On a steering box I went to autozone, bought a second one and returned the original. Of course that meant laying out an extra $200...
dougall42
Just FYI. The dealership quoted $500.00Canadian just for the part, plus an hours labour. That is why I was looking at Rockauto, I previously got my KYB GR2 struts from them almost overnight. Good service there.

Turkeylord
I've had mine (passenger front) in for a month now, no problems so far! I bought the 667355 specifically.
