Pics following my first trip - if anybody likes this, and doesn't mind getting mixed up with shady practices involving your own auto insurance policy, then, by all means, you know where to go:

...After the first trip my glass was all etched up, and when I brought it back he asks if I have glass insurance. I say yes. The windows magically got fixed. You tell me how that was accomplished. Insurance fraud? Who knows...

Glass coverage is mandatory in Mass. Recently, I bought a car off my buddy in W. Bridgewater. The windshield had a crack that was large enough to probably cause inspection failure. I asked him for his insurance company's # and called them. They sent a truck to my work the next day, no questions asked. If the car is covered in Mass., glass is a freebie.

kuoman,

I got my lgt sedan done a couple weeks ago there and it was $250. Seems like it might be a flat rate. Not sure on that though.

Brian Timm is the owner. He's a real cool guy and very helpful.

Thanks BuruLGT!!

I will give them a call :) Do you have 35% all around? And do you use Llumar? Just want to know what I am getting for $250.

If it's a windshield at issue... I think the rest of the glass requires separate, non-mandatory coverage.

just a quick 'thanks' for this thread!

i don't want anything extreme - just enough to cut some light.

Tint King sucks!!!!!! :spin::spin::spin::spin:

Avoid at all costs. They do crappy job and charge arm and leg. They did "edgeless" (filed) edges for me, while clearly not having experience or capability to do it. The tint peeled off. Had to fight to get a refund. Went back to a guy in New Jersey that is truly the king of tintint. Well worth the road trip if you value quality.

had mine done at solar solutions (in bedford maybe? i forget the city) and it cost $180 but we had a LGT group tint done there for I think 10+ cars so he gave us a good deal. either way it was all hand done and done well.

The owner changed since then I believe. AFAIK they do computer cut. Their work is not at the level of a real pro job.

I used sun-stoppers in stoughton, Ma off 138.. Guy does great work, I thought he actually took the windows out of the car, the lines were that good, no peeling or fading over the year I had it, that is untill I received a 250$ ticket for it being illegal..

I have 4 cars tinted over there, including the new Jetta which he had to custom cut. Nothing comes off so far, they stick like super glue :lol:

Not sure about yours...

tintking in billerica?

I'd recommend it, fwiw, MA law requires 35%, I did mine 40% just to be on the safe side
