Could someone please take a look at these logs?

Reset the ECU and log until that FLKC reappears.

Try to replicate the circumstances under which the KC (timing retard value) is set. The rpm and load range per cell is quite large... much lower than the resolution in for example the timing tables. We want to get an idea what actually causes the ECU to set that value... is the timing really just too high in that area? Or, is it 'false knock' from various parameters changing really quickly? If it's the latter you can put negative timing values in the base timing tables and you'll still set a KC value. Understand?

OK, this is important. Fine LEARNING means just that... the ECU sees enough knock, or a small amount of knock that's repeated, or another condition it thinks is worth protecting you from, and it LEARNS to pull timing in that cell. That means that the next time you pass through that load / rpm cell it will just pull the timing value you see there whether or not any knock is heard, or the condition that set that value in the first place is seen again. It will continue doing that until it hasn't seen or heard anything for some time, then increment the value back up to zero again.

So, are you sure this log represents the event that set the value... meaning are you sure that cell was at zero before this pull?

Not busting your balls here, just making sure we have the right information. :)

Post 219 above was done back on the 15th and is a WOT 3rd gear pull. It doesn't seem to show knock in that rev range. There is a fair bit of FBKC from 3900RPM.

The one I posted tonight was just general highway driving so I don't know if that gives you enough info.

His knock sum doesn't increase. His log doesn't show the "originating" event for the FLKC.

Exactly. In order to diagnose the actual cause we need to see the event that set the FLKC value.
