Brett
with launch control? theres a trick to it that i learned over the weekend, but i'm saving it for when a tune comes into play
Turkeylord
Just saw your slip, I had a couple better 60s than that, including the first slip I posted. My best was a 1.809. And yes, I was using launch control, but no ffs.
Brett
ffs isn't much help. i run the same times without it and i think it just burns the clutch up. it might be tough to break 1.8 with all-seasons, but that will be the key to pro times. Infamous1
Wow guys you need to step it up, just noticed this thread. If I can find my old slip I will post, but it was nothing to be proud of but still would make the list. In short 06 5mt, vf39 with fmic and e85 ran a 12.8 at 112 on a horribly slow track, car made 358whp. For reference the best I ran in my stock 03 z06 was 13.2 at 110. I have several runs in the 1.7 range. I believe 1.6 capable if I was not concerned about breaking stuff. EDIT: NSFW cut a 1.3X once. 1.8 is merely a quick and repeatably fast goal for 60'. LosAngelesLGT
Post em up! I only ran my last build at the 1/4 on pump ~13.6 otherwise the 1/4 strip was closed and it was all 1/8mi. Best 1/8 ~8.3X @88mph IIRC Link? http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3055613&postcount=6 I get some rear wheel spin but the car still launches pretty well. On my first time at the track the timing system wasn't working, but on my second time out, I got these 60' times: 1.917 1.587 1.384 (I did not think that a stock-location 30R could do that) 1.738 Most importantly, nothing broke. Those launches were all done by holding around 4500 RPM (no boost), lifting the clutch abruptly, and stomping the throttle. I might have stomped too soon for the 1.38, so maybe I should try launching at a higher RPM.
