MDSubie4
So I mounted a set I just picked up and wow....no rubbing non stock setup. Have hit a few bumps but nothing scraping. Can't believe my good fortune. Thought at least I'd have to go a size down, maybe two. I plan to change springs but not lower. Hoping to pick up some Swifts and then add some spacers to the struts to even me back up ot get me close. JF1GG29
Wheel brand/model: Enkei PF01 Wheel height/width: 17x8 Wheel offset: +45mm Tire size: 235/55-17 Camber F/R: -1.5-ish / minimal Lowered?: No, spec.B springs on Bilstein HD struts. Modified Fenders?: Stock Miscellaneous Suspension: Seems to ride lower than other stock Legacys, suffers from saggy butt, camber bolts up front. With more rear camber, I think this setup would work. As it is, rears will rub with anything more than 10% throttle. Fronts do not rub at all. Other notes: I think 225/55-17s would work with minimal rubbing, as well as 235/45-17s. maxxbenzz90
Hi guys and gals. For some reason I am unable to send pics? I'm working on it. Promise. Color- like a tomato soup red? Idk the color code or name. That's my next project. I wanted to make sure I can run 225-45-17's on my stock 7" rim? The reason i ask is i see pictures on here with 225s but with a 7.5 inch rim. Is the stock rim size 7.5 or 7? Also you are positive there will be no tire rubbing or hitting the fender on a bump? These 215s are too skinny. Great for snow but that's about it. I have to say the ride is crazy stiff? I had my suspension looked at to make sure nothing was wrong and it was fine. Is the reason BMW can make a suspension stiff and connected to the road and Subi can't strictly a cost issue? I'm running Hankook ventus v2 all seasons on my car which I just purchased. I would say 70% tread left. Man the ride is so choppy I'm going to have to wear a kidney belt. It sounds as if my ball joint is going to bust through the hood. Lol. Well I'm coming from a 2005 Audi A6 3.2 with Continental Extreme Contact 06. Great tire btw. But I know Audi is more comfort oriented. It wasn't the greatest handling car I ever drove but it wasn't a Chrysler K car either. Anyway I digress. So back to my fitment question. No problems? Thnx!!! Love the forum and my turbo!!! Febreze Mee
Does the outback xt have more wheel well clearance than the legacy gt of the same year? No, but the factory flares allow for you to make a little more clearance if you don't mind cutting.
