  1. I pulled out my cubby and felt the vibration of the one on the driver's side. That's what I'm ordering. Thanks for the lead on the pn.
  2. So part number is same for driver's side as it is for passenger's side? Going to Rock Auto website, there is only one part number that they list for a Dorman actuator.
  3. Perfect. Thanks. And would I just order lgt tie rod ends or STI ones? Prob no difference. I'll look up the part numbers should be same.
  4. Are you gents talking about the intermediate shaft, solid on STI and rubber gromette on LGT. If thats you mean, I can start looking to replace, but i currently have the Perrin clips to solidify my LGT shaft. Should be just as good. I've read that the STI shaft, although solid, doesn't leave much room at the top for tighting up... like 3/4 of an inch at most. I don't feel secure with that.
  5. Just recently replaced LGT steering pump on mech's recommendation to resolve my steering issue, didn't resolve issue. Time for new mech. My next guess it's the rack. Can't see it being anything else at this point. A couple of questions: 1) If I'm looking to pick up an upgrade, would it be 2015-2019 STI rack i'm looking for? 2) Once I have the rack, reading that I'd need to trim off .75 inches on the threads of the inner tie rod end. If thats the case, the reason this is being done is because I'm re-using my LGT outer tie rod ends and need it for my 2 degrees of camber? or are STI and LGT outer tie rod ends the same. i would order new outer tie rod ends, just not sure if I should be ordering STI or LGT. 3) Had I known I would be going to need a rack, I would have upgraded my steering pump from LGT to STI. Will i still notice much of a difference in steering on the road with the upgrade if i didn't upgrade the pump? 4) Should I be replacing all lines to the STI rack before installation, my current lines are not leaking. Much cheaper for me to just get new LGT rack and move on, but am always looking to tweek improvements where I can get them without additional or immediate failure buying used products. I've found a 2019 STI rack for about the same price as new LGT. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Wow, no one has gone with a bigger amperage alternator for sound system? Are these cars limited by PCM?
  7. Anyone go to larger amp alternator for sound system? What did you go with and amperage? Did you have any issues? I've heard something in the Outback forum that our alternators are computer driven and the extra amperage may not be accepted or utilized due to some sensor going to the negative battery post...idk, I'm not an eletronics expert suffice it to say.
  8. For anyone running a 1000-2000 rms system, what are you running in terms of battery support and did you replace your stock battery with it, or run as a secondary battery and where? Pics welcome
  9. 2005 Legacy GT Wagon OEM Downpipe, $850 or best offer. Willing to ship at your cost. Have no use for it as I went to a Grimmspeed DP. Please PM with questions or offers. Thank you.
  10. I can tell you for sure that it was the new hoses not clamped correctly onto the new GS Intercooler. That fatty one underneath near the driver side is a beach. Ordered some better clamps to keep it tight. That said, I agree. I'd heard the throttle body gets hard and develops leaks with time, sometimes just brittle and crack. Great recommendation and inexpensive peace of mind to test and replace. Any leaks affect performance. Find that out the hard way
  11. Well it's people like you who make a difference in the forum and why I'm a member. With experience I'm hoping to lend my knowledge out as well. Send out big thanks from The Great White North...Canaduhhhh
  12. Thanks so much Max. It was the hoses to the intercooler. One popped off first time, then again. Clamps Shit from Grimspeed. Got some good automotive ones. Car runs amazing. Stage two is huge difference. Thanks for your unwavering assistance.
  13. Nope but will try again. It's just strange that once it hits the 3k rpm, it starts hesitating.
  14. Shyte. Everything installed and uploaded stage 2, but car now sputtering on the way. What could it be?
  15. Ok. Thanks for that last bit. They've just finished the install. Much appreciated!!!
  16. Also note, I think it was you who tried to help me with where tje 02 sensor was for the "mod". So I have found out I have 2 sensors. One from pipe to bottom of the car near the tyranny, and another from header. No sensors and no cat on original uppipe. So perhaps I won't need to do the resistor mod.
  17. Yhabkyou. I didnt see it mentioned a second time. I did the install first time and hooked up the connectors to go to Stage1
  18. I'm having dp and up installed. When changing map to stage 2, do I need to replug in those green connectors under the passenger dash?
  19. I'm going in for the install of Grimmspeed Downpipe and STI uppipe so will let you know where it leads to.
  20. It's a USA model. The pic I sent above is from the underneath of that big harness. There is nothing grey there. Just one unit that clips in from what I can see.
  21. OK, so had a look tonight and there is no orange recepticle there either. Here is pick of the car. The only thing is the harness with a tonne of wires, but nothing underneath it, whether a grey or black separate recepticle or wiring with 2 electrical wires coming out. These pics are from underneath that big harness.
  22. Maybe I just need to follow the wire from the sensor, if there is one (I'm second owner) and see where it ends up.
  23. It's an 05 Leggy gt wagon. I haven't installed the sti uppipe yet but will be this weekend along with grimmspeed downpipe going to stage 2 with my AP
  24. Perhaps my model came without O2 sensor or cat on the OEM uppipe? I took another pic of some wires underneath my intercooler. Perhaps the green one?
