Nothing major broke, tranny was feeling weaker than it did when i got it but never crapped out. Legacy had 95kmiles on it when i traded it in. I traded it in on a 1997 corvette. 81kmiles, auto in good shape. Cheaper car payments on a shorter loan than the legacy and cheaper insurance. I am DDing the Typhoon right now until I can sell it or trade for something better on gas. LS1, it has the 2.73 rear end gears which are sadly the gas mileage gears. So it gets about 25-29mpg freeway. I already put 1500miles on it and i averaged 20.7mpg off the cars comp. I can throw some up later. The body is kinda rough. Everything else is pretty good. No maggie for the vette. John M Posted May 27, 2011 Share Posted May 27, 2011 I was just wondering about pricing on C5s the other day. It's hard to believe they've been on the road for 14 years. Right now I'm restoring a 92 Lexus SC400 to be a decent DD. They aren't fast by today's standards but it's not bad and it gets much better mileage than my truck. As far as modding goes I have alot of experience with this engine and tranny(it was just at the other end of the car in my formula) but thank you.
