Snydas_99legacy
so this is my idead so far: Wrx td04 turbo Wrx fuel pump Wrx injectors Ej22t heads Ej22t intake manifold Will a wrx header work with the ej22t heads?? How does all that sound so far ^^
babybaluga32
You will need a new intake manifold. Our's are like 2 inch's wider. It can't be from an ej22t, or any phase 1. The header will most likely be taking the route of the turbo crossmember, so no probably not, and wrx's are dohc .. Well at least some
Baddog
I read somewhere a Subaru 5 speed is well....a Subaru 5 speed. Regardless of it being a WRX or Legacy 5 speed.
babybaluga32
WWWHAT!!!! Realllllly? I have not heard such a thing!. That would be awesome.. Ive heard the the SVX(?)'s trannies would die if you pushed 240 hp ... Would legacys and wrx;s be the same and then It jumps in beefyness with the sti? Snydas_99legacy
Okay so I'm guess I'm still confused, can I use ej22t heads on my block? If so what intake manifold will I run? Also what about an exhaust manifold??
babybaluga32
The ej22t heads are not as wide as as your current heads, which means your intake manifold will not work on the ej22t heads. Your intake manifold is a phase 2 manifold, so it has more sensor ports, and is wider.
babybaluga32
Whats an exhaust manifold? Headers? They would have to be for a non turboed car, unless you get a turbo crossmember.
Snydas_99legacy
So how would dual port ej22 Heads handle boost? And can I use the intake manifold from that motor? What about the header??
babybaluga32
the only dohc ej22 heads ive seen were phase1 and you cant use them either.. or i would be, cause I have them! I have absolutely no idea if there ever was a phase 2 ej22 head. Look on your intake mani, on the throttle body there with be a sensor. On the phase ones there isnt. Ill take a pic tomorrow

Snydas_99legacy
Will those heads swap over with no problem?? And will I need to use the intake manifold from the ej25d??
babybaluga32
I've been told they will, but I honestly haven't put them on, so I'm not sure. And I think you can use your manifold because phase 2's are interchangeable... Not sure though!!!!!!
