Want to turbo my legacy, questions.

You don't need to have a custom header made if your keeping your sohc header... And custom up pipe, you'll need to buy the flanges, Then take it to a shop and have them bend it.. You might be able to find one online, but I'm sure it would be pricey! I don't think I would ever pay anything more than 50$, it would be 100+ probably.

It's a manual, I'm just a really fast shifter!!

Actually its not :) it's an auto and it blows

The placement and bends of the up pipe are really important. I don't have any brackets for my turbo, its just held up by the uppipe.

What I did before I got bigger exhaust was just take the cat off and made a 1 7/8ths downpipe flange and welded flexible exhaust tubing on... If that makes sense

Here is what you may be looking for. It is a aftermarket turbo parts list done by Subachad with Unique Motorsports. He has all of the parts he used with part numbers and a manufacturer. You can use a stock WRX turbo with the up and down pipe that he has in his list (check for the links) from Unique Motorsports. They will bolt up to your header.

If you are going to for sure be going with a factory WRX turbo then you can just go get the exhaust gaskets for the up-pipe to turbo and turbo to down-pipe and use those as your templates and cut them out of some 3/8" thick steel. Then use the gaskets when you install your turbo. That's what I did with my old turbo Impreza L project. Worked great.

Or just try and find some Subachad pipes and then all the guess work and fab is done for you and you know the turbo will fit with all clearances.

The turbo should have a serial number on it and start with vf something something. The up pipe will not work but you could do what I did with it and saw off both ends! Whhhaabam! 2 flanges right there. And I would think about buying an external waste gate, it looks pretty old and probably rusty..

Hypothetically this guy raced a yonda yivic, all I know is it have shafty yass exhaust- it sounded good till like 3000, then It made me want to puke. It looked nice though, with fog lights?.....!

There was massive ownage. Hypothetical ownage, that is. From 3rd ... from 2nd, and of course 1st. I <3 my new injectors soooooo much.. I got all 4 spinning in 2nd.
