babybaluga32
You don't need to have a custom header made if your keeping your sohc header... And custom up pipe, you'll need to buy the flanges, Then take it to a shop and have them bend it.. You might be able to find one online, but I'm sure it would be pricey! I don't think I would ever pay anything more than 50$, it would be 100+ probably. It's a manual, I'm just a really fast shifter!! Actually its not it's an auto and it blows
babybaluga32
The placement and bends of the up pipe are really important. I don't have any brackets for my turbo, its just held up by the uppipe. What I did before I got bigger exhaust was just take the cat off and made a 1 7/8ths downpipe flange and welded flexible exhaust tubing on... If that makes sense

subydrift
Here is what you may be looking for. It is a aftermarket turbo parts list done by Subachad with Unique Motorsports. He has all of the parts he used with part numbers and a manufacturer. You can use a stock WRX turbo with the up and down pipe that he has in his list (check for the links) from Unique Motorsports. They will bolt up to your header. http://www.uniquemotorsports.com/subachad/mods/turbo_parts.htm

Snydas_99legacy
sweet thanks for the link man. Does anyone know were i could come up with a flange for a factory subaru turbo so i can have my own uppipe made and downpipe??
subydrift
If you are going to for sure be going with a factory WRX turbo then you can just go get the exhaust gaskets for the up-pipe to turbo and turbo to down-pipe and use those as your templates and cut them out of some 3/8" thick steel. Then use the gaskets when you install your turbo. That's what I did with my old turbo Impreza L project. Worked great. Or just try and find some Subachad pipes and then all the guess work and fab is done for you and you know the turbo will fit with all clearances. Is this a good turbo/deal?? And also will it be able to run 8 psi?? Here are some pictures, sorry there cell pics. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/snyder729/photo.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/snyder729/photo4.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/snyder729/photo2.jpg And this is the motor its on: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/snyder729/photo3.jpg Is that motor a single port or a dual port??? ^^^^^
Baddog
Did the EA82 motors ever come turbo'd? I think they did was that off a GL?
babybaluga32
The turbo should have a serial number on it and start with vf something something. The up pipe will not work but you could do what I did with it and saw off both ends! Whhhaabam! 2 flanges right there. And I would think about buying an external waste gate, it looks pretty old and probably rusty..
babybaluga32
The downpipe screws look stripped and if there is only 4 bolts, you will have to make a custom flange for it.. But you would anyways for your exhaust size. A gasket mig be really hard to find. Google that car and find out what it is
babybaluga32
As for running 8 psi.. Probably, mine could do 13 maybe more.
