First mods include 19x8.5 +35 wrapped in 225/40/19 and most likely Tein Basics or Godspeed Coilovers (read good reviews about the Godspeed, but for other cars, not sure how they would work on the Legacy)

For now she drives amazingly well for a vehicle with 68K miles. Previous owner must have put all highway miles on her, cause she drives solid. CarFax 1-owner with all scheduled maintenance performed, also verified by TrueFrame with a 97/100 rating. Has Navigation, Moonroof, and rear spoiler.

So just washed my car and was looking at it, I realized that with 20-25mm spacers and a slight drop there might not be a need to upgrade wheels at the present time. She's on 225/50/17 and they fill the fenders nicely. Gonna go with 20-25mm spacers and possibly have wheels powdercoated Black Chrome or Subaru Gold. Tires were replaced prior to my purchase. They basically have about 5-6k on them. Any thought?

I ordered a similar grill insert. I stopped at a local body shop today to price out having the outer section of the grill painted to match, and also have the front bumper painted (tons of rock chips from PO). I was told they weren't sure if they could paint the chrome without it peeling, and it would cost $500 to paint the bumper if I remove it and bring them just the cover. that was much more than I expected!!! Has anyone had paint work done on their RRP? Does that sound right or are they ripping me off? I've had work done there before, that's why I went back. Also any issues with paint chipping off the painted section of the grill? Thanks

Wellllll considering I just had a front end collision last fall a whole repaint for fenders, hood, bumper was approx 1600-2000 in paint/prep 500$ seems pretty reasonable. Keep in mind Subaru paint is pretty thin so you may want to ask for 2-3or even 4+ coats of clear if want

Not new to Subaru but new to the legacy forums.

Just bought this 5th Gen 2 weeks ago for the means of comfort more than anything else (I drive a lot so it's totally worth it). Although I know it's nothing close to luxury by to todays standards it's still a Subaru and if it's got power steering, A/C, and Cruise Control it's more than enough for me.

Quick thing about me. I had a 4th gen Legacy wagon. Not about that bus life so I sold it and bought this one.

Got in the game before my Legacy's with RS's. Built my RS into a 400hp daily. It was great at the time but it was also super expensive. I've had my fun with boosted cars but I don't want to own a boosted Subaru daily ever again.

I currently rebuild Subaru motors to get me by in while in school.

Here's my 2010 Legacy Premium and my built RS.

New wheels and tires make a big difference. The width and offset of the 18x9.5 et38 put the outer lip flush with the outer fender. The 245/45/18 tires have about an 1" larger diameter than the 225/50/17 stock tires. So not only does it raise the ground clearance about 1/2", it also eliminates about 1/2" of fender gap. Aide that with the 1" drop from the Eibachs, it visually looks like car is 1.5" lowered. I'm happy. Car had a roll and slightest pull in the rear from when I had the 17x8 WRX wheels with 25mm spacer. Fronts have not been touched.
