i used to have a Bertucci A2T in that exact color. field watches are great.

Yeah, my Hamilton field mechanical is my "beater" that I wear when working on cars or bikes. Medium 38mm size doesn't get snagged on stuff and sapphire crystal is scratch resistant. It's still too nice to take mountain biking though. I wear a cheap Timex Ironman for biking.

I'm going on a cruise with the inlaws next month and I don't want to take my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean.

Can anyone suggest something? Looking for something nice, military style (I guess you call it Field now?) with numerical markers, a simple line or no markers - I don't like the dot markers. That Hamilton looks nice, but I'm not sure where to get them in Canada.. just started looking actually.

Thanks..

check out Bertucci's stuff, bit pricey for banger watches but they are dam near indestructible.

I'm partial to their A2T series because of the offset on the crown. keeps it from poking you on the top of the hand.

I've got two Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawks, both are the Blue Angels version. I'm in love with them .Parents gave me the first one for a b-day present. Old lady gave me the most recent one for our 1yr Anniversary. I still wear both and have gone to war and back with them. Both are still going strong, I'll never get rid of them.

One suggestion is to go to Amazon, to the Invicta Store. Back in my post:

I show a couple of cheap Invicta automatics that I wear for work. Invicta has dozens of styles, many of them are automatics, and many cost under $100. I use them in place of my pricier watches for my work in the gas fields.

Late reply, but have you checked out Westcoastime, which specializes in military watches?

Great prices on Swiss O&W automatics. Upgrade to a sapphire crystal if you can afford it.

I've been mulling over this one for a few weeks trying to decide if it's worth $500. It's got an atomic clock and a solar battery. I've only ever had stainless steel watches and I'm thinking a black one would be cool. I wish the accents were blue instead of green though. Anyone know how the color coating is applied and what does the "IP" mean in IP stainless?

^^ Not my thing. But you get what you like. Have you tried it on? Anyone selling one used at a nice discount?

Wife just got me this one...Seiko SARB065. Loving it.

^I used to have a similar Bulova (first) until my EX brother in law stole it and pawned it for cash.

I have a couple Citizen Eco-Drives from a few years back, right now I'm sporting a Tag Carrera that I got for Christmas a few years ago from my grandpa.

Congrats! The 6R15 movement has been getting great reviews for its time-keeping ability, surprising for a 21,600 bph movement. I believe the 6R20s are 28,800 bph, but they cost more.

Nice! I've always liked the Tag Carrera chronograph, both black and silver face versions.

Casio G-Shock Atomic Solar. Gets its time from the atomic clock 3 times per day, charges the battery via solar panels in the face. More or less idiot proof and as accurate as possible. Perfect for good record keeping.

IP would be ion plated. Pertains to how the coating is applied to the stainless.
