Went to the track again after a borla cbe install and my best 2 runs were 14.057 @ 98.37 with a 1.877 60 ft and 14.043 @ 98.78 with a 1.896 60ft.

For some reason I felt like my launching wasnt good and I wasnt launching on boost. Need more practice in this area.

Best run while stock was 14.144 @ 97.71 with a 1.903 60ft so there were some gains in mph and 1/4 times.

Time to get cobb ap stage 1 :)

Manual transmission cars dont launch on boost.

They do if your doing it right...

...and don't care about breaking anything.

Manual transmission cars dont launch on boost.

My terminology could be wrong but I was trying to find a sweet spot RPM wise.

Too low and the car will bog too.

I just need to time the gas pedal mashing and letting go of the clutch smoothly so it takes off at proper rpms without rpms dropping or dropping too much.

For example :

I can't launch like this. His rpm's go up, stay up, and the car just takes off.

So I went to the track again this time with stage 1 93 cobb map and the already installed borla cbe ;P

3 runs total best to date was 13.547 @ 102.06 with a 1.775 60 ft I didn't really want to beat up the car so I was launching between 3-4k.

I found that 3500 is really good with no wheel spin, and real strong pull away. I like second to third FFS set at 5000 so when I hit 6k is when I shift and it catches perfectly at 5k...sometimes its rough in first to second.

What's everyone got there FFS at?

Rutchard, in your video are you using FFS...definitely very impressive...

no FFS for me, haven't really felt like messing with it. Maybe in the spring when I try to beat my 12.9...

I think I bumped into your 12.9 run on youtube when I was researching stage 2 ;P . Did you post it here on the forums? I probably missed it.

I was also looking up 2011 bmw 335i cobb stage 2 and I think with exhaust and dp theu are running mid to low 12's ouch ...

I'm debating on stage 2 and dp myself :)
