So it's official, Italy has a USDM lip bahahaha!
  5. I am kind of glad my tax return took a long time to get back to me. I have been watching this thread closely. I am stationed in Italy and I would hate to go through what some of you guys went through. Granted shipping is to a US zip code but still. As a paying customer you do expect to get your product in a timely manner. If not, communications is an important factor of not irritating your customer base. I got it some guys got their stuff in a timely manner. I do believe Scott is a stand up guy. However, I would like to see things made right. I would also like to see orders ship out promptly. With that, I believe my confidence in purchasing from Scott would go up.
  6. listen here Meow, maybe R&D the LWCP Meow and maybe pistons meow!
  7. that's why I pay someone to do my dirty work bahahahaha!
  8. bahahaha I don't. I want to see this project develop. I am interested to see how interchangeable the suspension set up is going to be. I was looking at the control arms and the rest of the suspension set up and it looks like the conversion is going to take some serious cash. I am a bit jealous because I don't have that kind of dough to even do a suspension set up like that.
  9. I wish you the best of luck in those parts. You must have some serious dough to buy the "complete" suspension set up with all the STI markings on them.
  10. true, but their are a lot more parts other than the exterior. the whole suspension setup is tuned by STi.
  11. I was going to do the same thing, then remembered back in my old school days. It's like someone with an Integra GS putting on the Type R stickers and badge knowing full well it's not a Type R. I just have mixed feelings about it. But whatever makes you happy I guess.
  12. yeah it's not uncommon to see JDM change out with USDM stuff. we both like each others stuff and switch out. It's the whole the grass looks greener on the other side!
  13. ok so if I understand this correctly 2011 wrx struts will fit in a 5th gen legacy? The Koni rears are plug and play? while the fronts will need the 2011 donor struts in order for my setup to be complete?
  14. if anyone has any OEM shocks they want to give up for dirt cheap so I can do a project would be awesome! Thanks!
  15. Blizzard I am thinking about saying eff it and getting KW's. The Bilsteins are a great value. However, I kind of like the idea of being able to adjust the dampening when I decide I want to tighten up the suspension. In Italy they have cobblestone roads and even on the OEM shocks it sucks. I kind of like the idea of being able to adjust the ride height as well.
  16. you think that would work? I know I read that the KW3's fit the 08 WRX's. I just need to use my stock top hats right?
  17. has anyone looked into the KYB Excel G struts? It looks like a decent in between till the Bilsteins get produced. It's supposed to be 15% stiffer than the OEM and good to go for lowering springs. It's a little bit better than the OEM struts but for the price it's really cheap till the Bilsteins come in. 18. the only laws I actually have to follow are the inspection regulations. When it comes to modification of my vehicle i.e tuning, I do not have to follow Italian laws. In the end, majority of us leave this duty station and return home stateside. It's the same thing with window tinting. I do not have to follow Italian tinting laws. I can have my vehicle tinted to USDM Specs and I "WILL NOT" get in trouble with the local Italian laws.
  19. I also fall under the SOFA agreement so as I have to follow European laws I also have exemptions. I.E what you hve to follow for European spec, i do not have to follow
