It's good to see some more Mainers popping up on here. I can't call myself a true Mainer, as I came up here from NY to go to UMO. On a side note, how are you running a 93 octane tune in Maine? There's only 91 up here. You should check out www.mainelysubarus.com if you're not already on there.

scoobydoobie
correct me if im wrong guys but isnt 16 psi pushing the limits of the two? Intercooler, maybe. Turbo, no. A lot of people run 17-18 PSI on VF40/46s for a long time without issues.
SubieChik
18.5 psi on a stock intercooler and turbo? correct me if im wrong guys but isnt 16 psi pushing the limits of the two? Turbo...no. When I had the 40 I was running 18psi.....which brings me to intercooler.....yes....lol. It wasn't too long until my stock intercooler end tank blew open. Kinda common with people running high boost with stock intercooler. Them little tabs and plastic end tanks aren't a very good design
SSpeed
You could run 25psi on the stock vf40 if you want, doesn't mean it's efficient there...
Merc6
21psi I blew every vacuum line possible off. Then with a proper tune I ran 4 seconds faster. 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
