A_Tang
At that price range, you're pretty much stuck with those places. Discount, tirerack, and wheeldude. You're going to be looking at heavy, cast wheels for the most part. Understood. What sites are out there if I'm willing to pay more wheel? Thanks. joeblow
If you want pricier authentic JDM wheels, check out RavSpec's threads in the vendor area. He sells the sexiest wheels on the site; Advan, Rays, Work, etc. They use higher quality manufacturing techniques* to maintain high strength and light weight. Â Don't let the sticker prices scare you away, I got my Works and my Rays through him for a hell of a discount below retail. Â Â *This is not to say that XXR, Rota, etc use poor manufacturing techniques and they are going to break over a tiny bump in the road, simply that it is documented that the well known Japanese companies use different manufacturing techniques that are considered higher quality practices (forged metals, sidecuts for lightening, etc) It's cool; I'm with the band
Drift Motion
I'd like to spend no more than $250 per wheel. Look up 5zigen, Enkei, MB Motoring wheels fits your budget pretty well
SuperhawkLGT
I've had 4-5 sets of Rotas, never an issue.
jav2.5
I just got these for my white legacy. I thought they were gonna be the same color as the stockers, but I'm glad they aren't. They are dark grey, it'll look good when I slap them on and tint the windows. They are 17x7, with a little drop I think they are gonna look cool. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e68/javsvt/a1795421.jpg

MattG42C
Anyone have the Avarus AV6 Silver (18") rims on a Legacy? I'm a big fan of my stock Spec.B rims, but 3 of them became bent last winter (running Pirelli all-seasons right now.) The AV6's look similar. Would like to see what they look like IRL. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?&autoYear=2008&target=runWheelSearch&autoModClar=With+OE+Rubber+Valve+Stems&wheelFinish=Silver+Machined+w%2FClearcoat&wheelMake=Avarus&autoMake=Subaru&initialPartNumber=688500S4872SDC&showRear=no&i1_Qty=4&autoModel=Legacy+Sedan+2.5+GT+Spec+B&wheelModel=AV6
A_Tang
Look up 5zigen, Enkei, MB Motoring wheels fits your budget pretty well Ok thanks...I actually have a set of MB wheels now...but they're a little beat up. Question: I like the style of the TSW Interlagos - but the offest is 45mm and the wheel is 8" wide. Would that pose a problem in terms of clearances anywhere? Would they extend too far out of the wheel well and rub the fenders? I'm also wondering if they are TPMS compatible. http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_interlagos.php

Ultrasounddude
Those look nice, I like em. Thanks. These TSW's are pretty light at 19lbs and "spin cast" which is supposedly better than gravity cast. 45 offset puts them even with fenders. Have spec b suspension so a bit lower than stock and never a rub. Edited February 19, 2012 by Ultrasounddude spelling

A_Tang
225/40 18". why are you sticking to17"? Tire cost, ride compliance and I'm not sure how I'd like the way the car sat with 18" wheels since I'm not planning on altering the suspension. That dead cat gap in wheel wells looks better and seems to be more choices in the 18" and up range tho.

I'm more than likely getting the wheels, just need to decide the color. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3523/photo2cj.jpg http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4184/photoyvv.jpg
