Darkness of Death
kind of line bmw's right. i'm not sure but last time it was discussed (not in this forum), it was illegal.
Gmoe
Someone ordered a JDM kit that tinted side views blue and posted about it. I forget who it was.
Darkness of Death
of course, it's jdm. i think they sell tint overlays on ebay as well
Subidude24
its not illegal, you can get the kits, the aftermarket mirrors, or just get some 35% or so blue tint
Darkness of Death
depends on your local laws. i'm quite certain it's illegal here
Meshanks07
Not illegal. They are Prova mirror overlays. I have them on my car. Drew888 has them as well.

Meshanks07
Haha I didn't even notice that. I don't think so, I got them from Japanparts.com for $150 shipped to my door. Worth every penny.
Darkness of Death
more than half of that was shipping i assume/?
Meshanks07
Yea most likely. I can't remember the actual cost but I don't really care b/c I can never go back to normal mirrors. If you want pics I can take some tomorrow and post them up. Let me know.
Gire
Get them from Prova/ JDM importing. Check you local laws. Buyer beware.
Darkness of Death
i just checked it up. it's about 140 for the mirrors and 18 to ship to me. i can't justify that for mirrors - for now was it remove and replace kind of deal ? or put on top of existing mirrors (which i doubt)? Meshanks07
Put on top of existing mirrors. I put an extra layer of 3M double sided tape to make sure they won't budge. Mine have been through 25 inches of snow to 80 degree weather today and NO signs of falling off.
Darkness of Death
yeah. dont worry Gire. i know it'll be a cop magnet here
AkumaMax
I'm just wondering how well they would hold up if you have the heated mirrors?

B-Power-B
Cops have too much to deal with around where I am at... I would love to see some pix though, and i guess you would loose your heated mirrors if they are some sort of mirror you tape onto your existing mirror...I dont know about loosing that, especially bc I have tinted side windows as it is. scoobydoobie
Unless your dying for blue, why not get zags smoked mirror overlays for $12-15? You trim it yourself and its more of a conventional tint color, but still $12 to a forum member or $150 for JDM mad-tyte blue overlays?
Meshanks07
Here is a quick pic I snapped with my cell. I know, the car is dirty but it's been raining off and on today. The heated mirrors still work great with these on.
BruceBruce
150 for a blue tinted sticker? gah f that. i need a install and tune. that would be last on my to do list.
Strizzy
Prova overlays are not blue colored tint. They are a wide-angle mirror tinted blue that you place over your existing mirror. Here's a for sale thread with some pics of what they are: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/pa-prova-mirror-overlays-108616.html?t=108616 My bad luck build
scoobydoobie
My B, thought we were talking about turn signal overlays on the side mirrors. I was confused because I had seen a post lately referring to blue turn signal overlays as Prova overlays from JapanParts. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/official-diamond-gray-thread-47200.html?p=2897299&highlight=prova#post2897299 ^ See posts 1271-1275
