mustangendsley
how do the stock clamps work for a 25mm fsb? the bushing is so much bigger than stock 21mm.
amp27
i think you have to trim the bushings. gosh learning about full acale cars takes way longer then my little 1/10 scale RC. traxxas stampede
Zues Marine
the bigger bushings fit fine in the stock clamps, if you use the stock bushings, drill the hole larger.. easy
Baddog
How would a sedan handle with a 25mm FSB? I have the outback 18mm on the rear currently.
Zues Marine
i wouldnt reccomend it without upgrading to a bigger rear as well.. or else youll come out with some insane oversteer
Baddog
Yeah that's what I was afraid of. I just upgraded to the 18mm rear. It's a decent amount stiffer not as stiff as I thought it would be though.
mustangendsley
Got everything fixed on the front now and the MSI endlinks fit great. I have the front 25mm bar on soft and Im going to put the rear 25mm on firm. I like the feel of the front dropping and biting and then turn in on the track. subikid90
Will stock FSB and RSB from a 03 WRX wagon fit? fwa2500
you will have to remove the lump under the spare tyre well on you car for there to be enough clearance, but they should work
SteveB
Ok.... I have a question on the swaybar for my 95 legacy. I noticed a few weeks back that mine has broke. It appears that it became so twisted from my off-road driving abuse that it snapped. The break is to the left of the right side anti-sway bushing. My question-- can I weld it for a short term repair? I'm not in the position that I can afford to buy a replacement right now, and welding was a thought that I was curious about. Thank you.
subikid90
I bet you could find a used one for $10-15 around here, craigslist or a junk yard. They are pretty inexpensive to replace used. Sway bars see a lot of force and I think welding would only last a short time. Especially since you go off roading. -Subikid90Â 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
fwa2500
i should have posted this in here before, removed the lump and hammered in the spare tyre well as needed to clear my 22mm whiteline adjustable rsb http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/5323/34866458483401507563736.jpg
gershon
So I have a 2005 Outback that has a 15mm rear swaybar and it handles like crap. Anyone know if 15 is stock? I bought the car as a rebuilt title and have found mix matched parts on it.

I bought the car as a rebuilt title and have found mix matched parts on it. OK so I found that 15 is stock but boy does my car bounce around in the back. Anyone put a Whiteline 20mm on the rear of a OB and like the handling difference?
Zues Marine
^ i dont think anyone can complain about a beefier swaybar on any car, ha
gershon
I guess more of what I am wondering is do other people with OB 2005's have so much sway in back it scary?
bmwpride
Will an 02 wrx sedan rsb fit a 97 lego gt?
fwa2500
it will, but it will also require some work. my whiteline bar is for an 02-03 wrx sedan, scroll up a bit to see what i had to do to make it fit  gershon, my stock rear sway was 15mm too and i had a good bit of motion going on back there but i can imagine yours is worse since your 06 weighs a good bit more. you will notice a big difference if you go to a 20 or 22mm bar
bmwpride
so all that needs to be done, is cut that hump off and make it fit. Now sway bushing should i get to upgrade from the stock ones?
fwa2500
cut off the hump and hammer in the spare tyre well a bit so it clears the bar. if you get a whiteline bar it should come with the bushings, im not sure about the other brands though. bmwpride
im just using a stock wrx bar. So what replacement bushing should i use
fwa2500
if you can find whiteline bushings, get those, they will be better than the stock ones. you will be wanting ones for an 02/03 wrx because the 04+ have a slightly different bushing design
