98quiksilvergt
Yup!! It upset me too! It was 6:30 am and I was trying to go to work. I backed up onto the snow. I actually felt the car lift up on it. The tires were spinning like I was on Jack stands. An outback would have made it!
98LGTLover
Haha the GT's do very well in the snow but once you get to much snow it's game over because you get high centered like that lol

Laverne
The OB never got stuck, the LGT went into limpmode then slid backwards into a 4 ft snowbank. That was the stuck...
Gmoe
AWD or not, it's still a car and snow too deep is going to bury you with normal car ground clearance. That said, my car has had 0 issues with up to 12" deep. What kind of tires are you running?
CTSubiefan
He had no momentum and a heavy wet snow. They don't make a tire that can get you out of that scenario.
dmanaenk
But they make a shovel, that will
CTSubiefan
A man needs a big cup of coffee (or a seriously scary boss) to tackle that much snow that early in the morning with a shovel. Much better to pay a neighborhood kid to do it. His back won't hurt for 10 more years!
bigb3630123
Where in syracuse are you? I live in oneida 30 minutes east and I can't believe you tried to even back out of this stuff ha. It has to be the heaviest snow that can fall from the sky unless falling in pure water form. Our plow guy called and said sorry I can't plow you out this time.... My truck can't push that stuff
d1000rr
wow... you guys have more snow than we do here in Canada
Baddog
Get......over......it. Some of us love our Dodge. I have owned 2. One made it to 115k before the trans went. And the other made it to 81k and the motor blew. So yeah I have every reason to hate dodge. Had a ford a little while after that and it had much more power and had 168k if I memory serves me right. So thanks for the smart asstic comment.
98LGTLover
My dad has never had any problems with any of his Dodges. He usually runs them till over 200,000 miles then gets a new one. He has Cummins engines in his though, he doesn't like gas engines.
subikid90
wow thats a lot of snow. Stang70Fastback
Finally high-centered the Outback on 16" of packed ice-snow... ...16" of fresh snow is apparently fine, lol plowing a mound of snow with the front of the car, but 16" of snow that's been around for a week and is half ice is a different story, lol. 98quiksilvergt
Lol! Tires.... Well, falken ziex 225/45 zr17. Not a good choice for winter but I have never come close to being stuck until that day. It was very wet snow. It was about 36 degrees. That makes the snow very heavy. Even the dodge that pulled me out had a tough time pushing the snow.
98quiksilvergt
I'm by Dewitt and fayettville. It was snow 1-3 inches per hour that night! I had to open my store. If I wasn't the manager I wouldn't have even tryed. I must admit I have a 2001 Chrysler Concorde lxi that has been one of the best cars I have owned. I bought it with 62k miles. It has 109k on it now. I did the brakes all around once, and had to change 1 fuel injector. That's a good car. 40, miles with no problems but an injector, pretty damn good.... For a dodge!! bigb3630123
I drive every night through dewitt and fayettville on my way to work at hutchings psych center in syracuse. I drove through the night of the storm and it was terrible. I would have stayed home if I knew how bad the roads were that night.
