  1. the high temps may do something to the adhesive. I would remove them but its just me.
  2. in ny I would imagine some jerk cop would pull you over for it. We seem to get pulled over for everything else.
  3. I went to the dealership to buy pop it pins for the reason....... They are EXPENSIVE! freakin plastic
  4. Car was just in an accident and it barely hit the headlight.... the very edge is chipped a bit and a couple small scratches. I can post pics if anyone wants it. Let me know and I will come up with a price shipped. Good practice headlight maybe? For all you people who are afraid of doing this.... you could always practice on mine. Open it up and close it a thousand times before you go for it your own.
  5. I have had cleared headlights for 50,000 miles.... not a drop of moisture. Read through all 43 pages and you'll only find a handful of people who had a problem.
  6. same here.... the noise was cool at first but created a noise that sounds like a leak somewhere. Wasn't a cool enough noise so I put it back on
  7. 285 was too hot for me too..... 200 was about perfect for me
  8. when putting them back in the oven to warm them up before sticking them back together I did melt mine a little bit in one of the corners..... not to scare anyone haha. with the car back together you can't really notice it at all.
  9. as long as the light still blinks amber.... Either an amber light bulb or a clear bulb that blinks amber. I know here in ny if its blinking clear they will give you a ticket.
  10. your plugs are waaaaay cleaner than mine were when I took them out and my car had nothing that looked like that black blower thing. strange.....
  11. I havn't gotten a wiff of anything yet. Not at all. and with 3 on mine I can feel waaaaay more than 10% coming out of the mufflers.
  12. It all depends on how rusty it is down there. I had to have the bolts cut out and replaced with new hardware but if you can get them undone yourself it will take you 10 minutes right in your driveway for under 2 bucks.
  13. How about a list of walk throughs that have not been done yet. That way anyone that wants to do a few walk throughs will have a list to see if anyone has ever done it yet. Just a thought.
  14. You have to remove the yellow plastic piece in there and if you feel like going all out replace the turn signal bulb for the full effect. Once you get inside its all self explanatory.
  15. I successfully had a garage cut the nut out with a cutting torch. No problems. I asked them if the tank was too close and they told me it wasn't even close.
  16. all done and dropping washers into the 2.5 tubing FTL:lol: Nothing a wet vac didn't suck out. I could only get 1 of the gaskets off... the other one will take some serious scraping. I do believe its staying on there ha. I used 2 washers and I kinda wish it was a little louder but I don't feel like getting under there to try 3. Good enough for now. Sweet $1.13 Mod
  17. No sir I have not but in a few minutes when the car has time to drip dry a little bit in my garage I'll go out and do it. I'm not too much into the slushy dirty snow falling in my ear when I Hogzaust my car. edit: I doubt it makes much difference but do you think the intake silencer removal would make much of a different noise along with the hogzaust. I had the silencer off last summer but put it back on in the fall. Wondering if I should take it off again hmmmmm.
  18. I went to a garage and had them torch the bolts out of there and replace the hardware. Cost me 6 dollars haha. Twas a good idea indeed. oh and they asked why I needed them replaced and I was too embarrassed to tell them I was going to put washers in there to make it sound better haha.
