subikid90
Mine is the same way. Sloppy in all gears and neutral, and hard to shift into 1st unless it is warmed up and stopped. The fix pretty much requires all new shifting linkage and bushings, and a short shifter when you have it all apart. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

98LGTLover
Haha, well it's my thread and I don't care! I'm procrastonating on hw also... My car has some sort of lightened flywheel, it starts with an F. And the clutch is an exedy clutch. It grabs really good and the shifts are good. Just a sloppy shifter, that's be fixed later though not urgent right now.

987687
That's a really clean car! I see you're in Maine. You should check out http://www.mainelysubarus.com/ It's a local Maine forum with a lot of good knowledge and people who'll give you a hand for cheap. 226k on my GT still... I've only put on 8 miles since I did the ej22 swap. And all of them without registration, insurance, or inspection. On public roads... haha. Bjordan74
Way louder. You can't really tell from inside the vehicle. But if you are outside and standing in front of the car it is rediculous. They are very directional.

hansvonaxion
This is my first post, just bought a 96 Legacy GT-B with 53,000km's, that's 33,000miles. It's in pretty good nick. Haven't taken delivery yet, still sorting out the paperwork, parking etc so will post an intro thread when I get it and can take pics. Yeah, people don't drive much in Japan. I was a bit worried about getting an "older" car but this thread has helped. lol.
