aac0036
Not sure about that one. What's the ground clearance on it? May help determine if it fits or not, if anyone's running a GT under-tray. I was looking for one after I did my custom piping too, but never came across any at a reasonable price/distance.
CDN 2.5i
Because I'm lowered on Bilsteins/Swifts, not sure how relevant a ground clearance measurement would be in my particular case. Hoping someone has actually tried it. There's a new under tray available for a good price locally right now and it's why I'm wondering if it may be worth buying it... Dubz
Since theres not really anywhere else to ask this question heres the story. I have an 05 2.5i and brought UEL headers from DNA Motoring that were made for a 96-05 WRX. I was told that WRX headers were compatible with 2.5RS's. And that 2.5RS's are compatible with 2.5i headers. I brought the headers to at least 6 muffler shops and they told me theres no way theyre going on even with modifications and they told me to buy things that were made for my car. These are what my headers look like. http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8562 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8561 Theyd fit right on the engine but it wouldnt connect with the rest of the exhaust and the trannys in the way. I was also told that if I brought headers for 05 and 05 models only that the headers bolt right on with no problems. My question is do I need to get UEL headers this style?: http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8565 I really would like to get headers that bolt right on like Rallisports but I dont have the patience to wait that long. Are there any alternatives such as buying uel's this style?
sanchitosonria
Pretty sure it's worth the wait for the Rallisports.
bomberlegacy
You could hack up an oem gt manifold like previously mentioned. Maybe borla but I'm not sure '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
Theheatfan33
Since Dubz's is an 05 shouldn't Borlas bolt right up?
Dubz
I cant find an oem lgt manifold anywhere. That was my third choice but there has to be someone here whos done something differently? And how long is the wait for Rallisports?
aac0036
07+ wrx (or 08?) manifolds are the same as the LGT and require the same modifications. I can't remember what years but it's in GEE-OTTO's thread about the manifold conversion. Should be plentiful on the NASIOC forums!
CDN 2.5i
Since Dubz's is an 05 shouldn't Borlas bolt right up? I have a feeling that Dubz has that bastardized manifold - he needs to post a pic of the OE one on his car now to confirm. Needs to look like this for the Borla (replica) to bolt up. http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv205/andrewolive/CIMG3762.jpg
CDN 2.5i
This post has the 'other' 2005 2.5i manifold: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4425745&postcount=2255

CDN 2.5i
If yours look like pic directly above, then the header you posted in the cardbox box above should fit as a bolt on, no mods needed. Is that your header that you purchased pictured in the cardbox box above? It's not a WRX header, it's for a 2.5RS, naturally aspirated.
Dubz
The headers in the box do not fit at all trust me it wont even come close. and DNA motoring said it was for a 96-05 WRX What I want to know is are there alternatives to Rallisport headers for an 05 2.5i? Someone here has to know
CDN 2.5i
Yes my manifolds look exactly like that Are you sure? Did you look at the other link I posted? That 2005 has these headers: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=151249&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1368216114 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=151250&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1368216114 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=151251&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1368216114 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=151252&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1368216114 Because the headers I posted above hanging on the wall are mine, off my 2005 2.5i. And I'm running borla replicas that look just like those in the box: Here, when I took them off to get them coated after the header wrap started to deteriorate following the loss of my skidplate. http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv205/andrewolive/CIMG4575.jpg And cermakrome'd: http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv205/andrewolive/CIMG4586.jpg

CDN 2.5i
You got any exhaust vids? If you're asking me, N.sane listed 4 vids of my car in the first post of this thread. I should take a new vid soon now that I have two resonators in the midpipe - removed the original cxlighting bottle style and now have a Vibrant and Magnaflow. Significantly less drone now... Theheatfan33
Cool excited to hear it Just realized your vids were the first ones that I watched when I first got my 2.5i. CDN 2.5i
Yes my manifolds look exactly like that hey Dubz, can you humor us and post pics of the manifold on your car now? Dubz
Hmm I think I was wrong good thing I checked. These are what my headers look like (The best shots I could take of them anyway) http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8567 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8566 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8569 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1465&pictureid=8568 Those are the stock headers in your car? Mine look a lot longer than your first link. The stock headers the 2nd link looks more like mine cept with a different cat. Since these are what my headers look like will anything bolt right on uel? Dubz
As I said before though the headers that I have in the box do not fit and arent going to. The headers that you have on your 2.5i right now look about the same style as the one I have in the box. Is it uncommon to have stock el headers the style I have them? It seems like I have less choices than you do since youre lucky yours could bolt right on as I thought all 05 models could
