thestratomaster
Oh i know this one is going to rust. I just won't feel as bad if I spend 300 opposed to a 1000...I haven't been able to find much on the bosal
CDN 2.5i
The Bosal v1.5 is a good value on a better quality exhaust: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/bosal-spt-v1-5-exhaust-133590.html $375 plus shipping... If you get the cxlighting, just take some time to prep it with high temp paint/clear coat before you install it to help minimize the corrosion issue. thestratomaster
So i need to contact bosal in order to buy?
DavidPHumes
Well I can't seem to find this exhaust anymore. Can anyone link me? I looked at all of their items and couldn't find it.
black318i
I believe GMS, XO2, CXLighting, and a few other ebay sellers all come from the same manufacturer. Right now there seems to be a supply issue and those that do have some in stock raised their prices. auturbo on ebay seems to have some, but I don't know if it is the resonated or non resonated mid pipe. DavidPHumes
Hmm... for that price I might as well just pick up the Bosal...
black318i
Yeah If it drops back down I'll get one, but no way not at that price.

heferly
so almost 4 months later...anyone have any updated reviews? looks like i'll be buying some kartboy hangers, too also wondering about fitment with the stock dp...sounds like i need to get new bolts for the connection? or will the existing bolts work? sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes...well, he eats you
m sprank
New bolts. Its the XO2/GMS. 202 Stainless. Will rust in winter if uncoated.
MDKSDMF
yeah the stock spring bolts won't work. I tapped my stock dpand threaded bolts into it when I had just the xo2 cbe. The cnt dp I went with came with bolts to mate the cbe to down pipe. If you get the exhaust get a new donut gasket too to b safe.

black318i
I just used a high temp paint. After several months it seem to be holding up fine.
Rickbubello
so im going to be buying this exhaust this weekend, like everyone else from cxlighting. I seem to be confused though. I have a 2.5i, what else do i need to buy for my car. Bolts, gaskets etc..? Will I run into any issues. I just want to make sure when i bring my car to get it installed that it is getting done right. I will also paint it if needed before hand, id rather it be black anyways if it makes it rust less, thanks for the help guys- you are truly a great community
BAC5.2
Does the CX catback fit stock mufflers? I'm thinking about doing a CNT downpipe and a CXLighting midpipe/y-pipe with stock mufflers. Any input? MDKSDMF
the mid pipe is a three inch flange on both ends. idk if the axle has a 3 inch flange or not
BAC5.2
So the midpipe should bolt directly to the CNT downpipe. I just wonder if the stock mufflers will bolt up to the CX y-pipe Flip Key Development Thread "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." - E. BAC5.2
I wonder what that would sound like? A catted 3" DP, 3" CX midpipe, and stock mufflers? black318i
only slightly louder at idle and WOT and pretty much stock at crusing speed. You will notice a slight rumble at light load low speed.
BAC5.2
Even worth doing the midpipe and y-pipe then? I wonder if they'll sell me a kit without the mufflers?
