There is and will never be another Subaru like this...

Recommended Posts

The Center section will be black but its better then just black. It might but if it does it will ether be twin TD04s or SC but that's down the road. The bigger hold for now is for the rad and maybe an oil cooler.

I am painting it Tuxedo Black. Its a black base with a little Metallic in it. However about 40% of it is a mix of blue, green, white, and gold pearl so in the sunlight it pops really nice.

I am also taking the Hood, Roof, Trunk, the Center lower lip part of the front bumper, and the center exhaust part of the rear bumper and covering it in the Di-Noc 3m Dry Carbon vinyl and then taking just the pearl of the paint and spraying it over the vinyl. The effect it gives is really odd. It looks just like paint almost all the time but when you get up to it at certain angles when the pearl starts to flop it flops the pattern of carbon leaving a weave like flop in the pearl. Its give off the impression of carbon but it doesn't look like you are trying to imitate it if that makes sense.

Also in Hood, Roof, and Trunk parts I am taking a green pearl and then a thinned down coat of the Hennessy Viper "snake bite" green and painting little STi logos in sort of a Louis Votton pattern. Looks like this:

This is a little off my buddy did it. The Upside down STi logos will be the other way around. It will be really subtle where you won't really notice is till your right up to the car and I think its pretty unique. I did it to the Lego in Forza 3 at first and I really liked and got a ton of compliments so I'm going to do it. First before any of you who didn't read this thread say ANYTHING. This car has quite a bit of STi parts in it and is deserving of the title.

Ver 7 RA Spec-C 6-Speed Swap

06 STi 5x114.3 Hub Conversion

JDM Brembo Calipers

STi Pedals and a ton of interior goodies

Bunch of JDM parts etc....

Anyways this is going to be a love or hate kind of thing but that's the whole point. This car for me has been nothing but pushing the envelope and going where other have never gone before. So far its paying off so I think when its all done it will come together really nicely.

I'll have some pics of the interior going back together and my temp exhaust on Monday. Car should be painted Wed I think and back on the road maybe next weekend.

Here's the list of the Interior bits I have going in:

Dry Carbon Covered Headliner

Dry Carbon Covered Rear Deck piece (that felt piece behind the rear seats)

Custom Door Cards w/ Dry Carbon Covered Door Inserts

Custom Died Black Carpet

Custom Painted Gunmetal Trim

STi Black Floor Mats

STi Pedals

SPT Carbon Shift Knob Custom modified to fit 6mt

SPT Carbon E-Brake Handle

09 WRX Steering Wheel w/ Audio Controls

01 Toyota Celica Leather Seats (Sportier and same color as my stock leather)

Ecplise AVX726E double din touch screen Navi deck

Full Red Illumination

Custom Red LED lighting (Audi Style)

Full Dynomated Interior

There is other stuff but I can't remember haha.

My temp exhaust is going to be quad tip staggered to contour the bumper and be made from 2.5 SS pipe angle cut. Should look something like this:

Except tucked more up in the exhaust cutouts and no mufflers showing.

LOL at Joeblow's sig pic!!! The old spice guy haha. "Look at your legacy, now look at mine. Back at your Legacy, now at mine":lol::lol::lol:

Should be painted Wed. Finished Like Sat. Tonight I should have the carpet and seats and most of the interior back together. Everything but the headliner because I have to wait till I get my new EVO X antenna in after its painted but I will have pics of the Di-Noc on it. I might just set it inside because its way easier getting it in without seats so yeah I might just set up there. I have a sample of my carbon if its gets sunny outside I'll try and take some pics of the flop for ya'lls. I'll have pics of my interior and exhaust on Monday. I'll try and take some night shots of some of my lighting if I get my seats in tonight.

When its done. I need to find a talented photographer to take some legit pics. Maybe Armin or somebody in Seattle. I'll be be slamming it for the shoot so it looks super bad ass. I still need to play with the stance but I need to get some miles on the coils so they can settle.

We got a couple really good local guys that would love to shoot it in Seattle. Check out some of the Photoshoot Meets in the PNW. :D Let me know if you're interested and we can get a local PNW thread to gauge interest and timing. :)

Okay exhaust time. I did strait pipe because I had no mufflers small enough and I didn't think it would be that loud but I was SO wrong. I ill have to get it outside to check for sure but I am going to need to find some mini mufflers or something. Same out pretty sweet. This one is temp but I will prolly use most of it when I swap to dual exhaust for the EZ swap. I'll prolly hack off the tips and put some real ones on later but for now its good enough.

Also mounted the HIDs and finished up the trunk for now. I am going to do the battery in the back but not until my EZ dual exhaust s finished so I know how much room I have.

My buddy says there should be color spraying on the body today maybe so that would be sweet so tomorrow while he painting the bits I can put the headliner in and finish up the interior.

More pics to come we are almost there!!

Looks awesome!

Do you have enough space to run a single tubular muffler upstream of the Y? Or even two small tubular mufflers in the straight portion of the piping between the Y's split and the tips?

I think you should just leave that exhaust just the way it is, especially if you have the ECU setup with continuous fuel running.. can anyone say big flames?

Ever think of selling that piece off to any of us once you are done with that y-pipe?

btw, that's just awesome work.. I thought about doing a fender flare on my 05 GT, but I havent sorted out the suspension travel to think about how much I really want to hack away at the rear quarter panels and I would probably extend my flares further down and give it more of a euro GT racer look to it..
