bravonoj
OK All - I'm looking for some suggestions for wheels on my legacy - Here are the "now" pics: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x120/bravonoj/Dsc00108.jpghttp://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x120/bravonoj/Dsc00109.jpg This is a ways off, but here is one I was considering: OZ Ultralegerra Matte Graphite Silver Let me know what you think - any input as to color, etc... is appreciated as well! thanks!Jon
Onthewagon
I like the ones you have now. I have a pair just like it! I think the Ultraleggeras would be a good choice. If I were to replace the stock wheels on my car I would go something similar with the many-thin-spoke style those have. Pic of the Ultraleggera since I looked it up: http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/oz/swap/oz_ultraleggera_ltg_ci3_l.jpg
seanrose
tarmac2s or g forces
Gmoe
I've got tarmac2s on the hit list. But those OZs are HOT. Just a mile outside my budget. I with there were a good replica. Is there? You've got a great color there bravonoj... any finish/color will go great if you ask me.
Gire
Darker wheels on that shade of red will look hot.
bravonoj
Yeah, I was thinking darker rather than lighter - those O.Z. wheels, mounted with new rubber from Tirerack would be a tad over 1500:eek: so if I hold out for a little longer, maybe I can do that instead...I have a classified (non car) set up for the switch to whatever wheels I go with.... (yeah yeah shameless plug:lol:) have a look: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117075&highlight=clearing+sale

bravonoj
OK I just saw Prodrive GT1s in Anthracite Gloss and think something along this line would be good: http://www.fredbeansparts.com/catalog/PD_glossanthracite.jpg

bravonoj
I think I will go to 18 inch wheels, what should I be looking for? I know it is a 5x100 bolt pattern, but is the offset still the same (48 or more)? what should I look for?

GEE-OTTO
From another post - the ProDrive GT1s: OBP is sooo extra sexy that is a clean ass ride. not to mention the wheels are nice
bravonoj
should I be concerned about the issue of having a low profile tire on a wheel like that ProDrive? I really am leaning towards them at the moment, but it looks like there isn't as much tire to that wheel as some others...would I have a less "low profile" tire on a 17 rather than an 18? Or would it really matter that much?
katalyst
just go to a tire with more sidewall then?
bravonoj
alright...first off do I want 17 or 18 inch rims, I am leaning towards 18s now, but take the following into consideration: -I was planning on doing Eibach springs (I believe they work with the 2.5i) -with the drop do I need to worry about rubbing with 18s? bravonoj
ok....... Here are the winners (I think the High Power Silver finish looks best) http://www.fredbeansparts.com/catalog/PD_highpowersilver.jpg Now to find tires for them...I don't know what the exact specs are for these - does anyone know does 5x100 18x7.5 sound right? Can someone confirm/deny this for me?
socallegacy
alright...first off do I want 17 or 18 inch rims, I am leaning towards 18s now, but take the following into consideration: -I was planning on doing Eibach springs (I believe they work with the 2.5i) -with the drop do I need to worry about rubbing with 18s? im running 225/40/18 +45 offset and droped on bc racing coilover and i have never had a problem hitting my finders and i have not rolled my fenders u should be good
katalyst
the high power silver is pretty bright, almost chrome-ish i feel like here's a thread with the pics http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111733&highlight=prodrive+GT1 i think a darker shade would go better with GRP also i think 17s are fine on the legacy, esp if your drop is pretty subtle, 18 will just make your wheel wells look more vacant i feel
bravonoj
alright now that I see them in that post, I don't really like them any more...back to a search (unless someone has pics of them in the darker shade)......
katalyst
this is on my friend's OBP (jxjiang), color is gloss anthracite http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp181/katalyst112/18prodrivegt1glossanthracite.jpg quality isn't the best but you can kinda get the idea, i think it would look decent on GRP, the matte anthracite might provide a little more contrast link to a set for sale on here: (matte anthracite) http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117275
