PGT
since you have a vested interest in this just so we're clear, no, I have no vested interest. My only involvement was to run a GB here (of which nobody took part) and that a good friend is the US distributor. I don't make a dime.
TSiWRX
RE: "vested interest" - just so we're clear, no, I have no vested interest. My only involvement was to run a GB here (of which nobody took part) and that a good friend is the US distributor. I don't make a dime. ^ Ah, my mistake - I thought you guys were together on that business venture....IIRC, didn't you have a "laserprotector"-suffix e-mail at one point, back in 2007? If things have changed, I apologize, for I was not aware of such changes as they were never made public. Even if you're no longer actively involved with LPP, you still do "vested interest" - your friend is the sole authorized US distributor/reseller, and you've stepped up here to defend his name. Although that loyalty in and of itself is commendable, I think it is affecting how you're seeing things. Look at those past posts. What happened simply cannot be denied, either in reference to how the TruSpeed issue played out with me and others on the RadarReviews.net Forums (and continues to play out on RD.net, even as we speak), as well as with regard to other technical problems which have caused enthusiast-community "fixtures" such as Hessen and PMoth on RadarDetector.net to also distrust his words. The posts are there for anyone and everyone to read. None of what transpired was done so in PMs or otherwise behind any private doors. All the postings were in open threads, for anyone to read and confirm for themselves. If you stepped back from your personal connection with David (LPP_Rep/LPP-USA/DMI-Sport) in this case, PGT, and looked at things as I've presented them, what would you say? I wouldn't like it, either, if someone else pointed out my friends' faults - faults either I knew of or not, it doesn't matter. And certainly, it would disturb me even more if the allegations made did not match my friend's typical behavior, behavior which I knew well, first-hand, in real-life. But look at what was presented. How can I think any differently than what I have? <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

vduber
I own a Valentine 1 and it works well, sometimes to well. When driving through town it will pick up every signal especially when passing through supermarkets! This is why I only use the v1 on the highway, less false alarms. SisLGT
oh god do i dare say this... I used to sell radar detectors so i have owned the V1 the 8500, the 8500 X50 and now the 9500ix oh and the zr3 jammer. I love the jammer it has saved me way too many times to count just last night i was hit doing 90 in a 70 i slowed down and hit mute at 70 and went right on by. I like my 9500 except the for some reson i cant turn off the red light cam function. Just my .02 and let me make it clear i no longer sell them. TSiWRX
I like my 9500 except the for some reson i cant turn off the red light cam function. ^ I really thought you could do this, via Detector Tools....under the "Options" tab. I'm not completely sure, though, as I don't own the ix. But do you have the latest version of Detector Tools? If not, I would recommend the download, and connection to your detector, to see if you can thus manage the database. Also, if that doesn't work, log-on to the Escort Forum: http://www.escortradarforum.com - and post-up a question. You'll get direct help, there, and their personnel their is much, much more helpful than what could be had in calling in a question to their C/S line. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

TSiWRX
^ Ah! That may be why - some of the functionality is only available via interfacing with the Detector Tools programming. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
