Actually my Koni's came in yesterday as well, and picked up the LGT struts last night from a local guy, so I've got all the gear to get started. Just want to find some yellow spray paint that closely matches the Koni yellow to pain the strut bodies.

Actually really excited to get this project started. :)

You will be one happy guy when you finish!!

I love this pic. That stance is about perfect. I've been thinking about eibach/epics with kyb shocks to replace my 70k miles old stock gear for DD fun.

What wheels are those? I'd be interested in shot from the rear or front down the side of the car that shows the fitment better, if you have one by chance. Looks really good in my opinion.

Ya when I put my s techs on I replaced the control arm bushings because I thought that was what was causing my car to pull randomly. Do you get a popping when you turn the steering wheel when backing out of some where? I thought s techs were pretty brutal when you hit a bump dead on. Looking into pinks but I loved the drop of the s techs.

I had noise at first from the passenger fronts on slow turns but went back and fixed it. The top rubber wasn't aligned properly.

Zero pull, rides like stock on regular surfaces, no more squat, and just slightly harder on bumps.

I'm trying to decide which springs to get, I was looking at this http://subiwiki.com/wiki/index.php/BL_%282005-2009%29#Handling_Modifications to try and narrow it down (I have almost brand new GR2 struts, and want to do a koni replacement later, but use these GR2's first since they are essentially brand new)

I don't want to slam the car, and I'd like comfort over performance. From my searching sounds like Epics would be best but they are all gone. The HTechs seem good since its a mild drop with decent spring rates, but I'm wondering about the Progress Sports. I can't find much info on them. Its a bigger drop, but the spring rates are very close to stock. Any opinions on them? Would the bigger drop be worse on the GR2's than the HTechs?

People seem to like the HTechs decent on stockers, Thanks for input

I e-mailed them, they are out. Website not updated I guess.

I had a vendor who sold the Epics, and sells H&R's AND H-Techs say that the H&R's are the most similar to the Epics which surprised me since the H&R's lower quite a bit more than the Epics. I would have thought the H-Techs would have been more comparable but he didn't even mention them. I'm curious if the extra drop would wear the KYB's out faster than the H-Techs. I've ridden in a car with stock struts and H&R's but it wasn't a legacy and was bit smaller. Seemed to ride fine though.

+1000. i installed the same set two weeks ago and highly highly recommend them i have tried H-Tech's, Pinks, Bilstein HD's and all the combinations of them they either rode horrible, made noise, pogo'd, bottomed out or the stance was wrong. i finally bought the Eibach's from http://www.tirerack.com used the stock struts/shocks and i am very happy now the car rides like stock, lowered to where the tire evenly fits the arch of the wheel well, no bottoming out, quiet, squat is gone [progressive wound springs] and actually handles good w/o excessive leaning [also have Cusco sways] i've tried them all and for a daily driver with the roads i have to drive on the Eibach is the set to have. they have the Bosco seal of approval. :)

Eibachs with kyb came on my car. im always bouncing off either the bump stops or coil bind.... Should i switch to some koni or bilstein's shocks first then change springs. Do they require trimming bump stops? What im looking for is a firm but not jarring daily driver...

Your problem is the kyb shocks they are oem replacement shocks and cannot control the increased spring rate of lowering springs. Everyone else seems to really love koni's but I'm a Bilstein fan every set I've had have been awesome and transformed the car.
