teducci
I am looking to only lower my 2008 Legacy 2.5i by half (0.5") or 3/4 (0.75") of an inch as I live in winter country (Canada). Any recommendation on springs to accomplish this very little drop? Attached in my Legacy with 18" Rota Tarmac II and Toyo T1R tires, a slight drop would accentuate the look and handling as this is a daily driver. Bovesnh1
I live in a similar environment and was looking for the very same thing from my lowering springs. After much research I elected to purchase the Eibach pro kit. It offers a 1" drop in the front, and a .8" in the rear. I only had them installed on monday of this week, but so far they are exactly what I was looking for.
scoobydoobie
Pink springs seem to be the common choice for a slight drop and better handling.
whitetiger
id upgrade the struts along with the springs. lgt struts suck, especially when paird with aftermarket springs.

rhe
I'm running sedan pinks but have an extra set of rubber spring perches on the rears rather than saggy but spacers that also can raise the rear a bit. scootyc
I like my COBBs. Raked the stance, no problem in the snow and the ride comfort was not sacrificed.
devobuzz
id upgrade the struts along with the springs. lgt struts suck, especially when paird with aftermarket springs. Hmmm - I actually don't think the stock stuts are half bad with my iONS. BUT - I have ordered a set a Koni's so I'll find out how bad - or good - the stock struts really are.

BT4
I was interested in the eibach's too, but could not find any super reviews. I took a chance on the rallitek's when they were on sale for $199 figuring it was a cheap enough experiment. They really work great. The rear of the wagon sags a bit, but there is a shim out there to make it look better. In actuality it only sits about 1/8" lower, but the uneven fender gaps make it look worse than that. http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=273&pictureid=1434 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=273&pictureid=1437 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=273&pictureid=1436 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=273&pictureid=1435
BT4
By the way those are 225/50 tires on there so they are two sizes taller than stock.

peteyjr
Don't get Swifts if you don't want a big drop ( they go a bit over 2" lower on the fronts) . My 18" tires rub quite a bit with the swifts. Switching over to IONS and koni's in a few days .

I'm also thinking about Rallitek springs for my wagon.  BTW, what size of shims will you suggest for wagon with Rallitek springs? 3/8" or 1/2"? BT4
3/8" is enough to correct the actual height difference if measuring the chasis to the ground, but the 1/2" spacer would look better if you are visually judging the wheel well gaps between the front and rear.
