It looks like a quality piece until you install it. Let me just put it this way..nothing lined up, we had to drill open the holes in the turbo so it kind of fit, the gasket that came WITH the UP didn't even fit and...it was just a PITA. Hope that helps. Disclaimer: this does not contain sarcasm.

whitetiger
I the megan quad with ELH sounds awful. I have ELH and Prodrive cans with 3" catless turbo-back and it sounds much different and much better than that.
TRSCobra
i want a catless car that doesn't snap and pop like a catless car. My catted car snaps and pops, too. Even with the stock exhaust! Here's my latest contribution: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpDs7HSpbp4]YouTube - 2005 Legacy GT with Race Ready Exhaust Cutout[/ame] I hate the tinny sound of the stock catback, but there aren't any quieter exhausts available for our cars. MDKSDMF
you are running a blouch 20g on the stock catback?? the stock piping is a pretty big restriction IMO. why not get an after market exhaust and add a resonator or muffler if you want it quieter? Also, does anyone on here have a clip of a stromung with a catless CNT dp? id love to hear that as i am considering replacing my rusting X02 Edited June 22, 2011 by MDKSDMF ADHD

I had an HKS catback w/resonator that was too loud so I sold it. I didn't want to risk spending money on another catback that would possibly still be too loud with a resonator/third muffler, so I'm running the stock catback with a cutout in the DP for the time being until someone makes a quality exhaust that is quiet. TRSCobra
have you listened to a Borla in person? Yes, but only on a stage 2 car. Sounded great and not too loud, but so did my HKS...
squire
Does anyone know if the cxracing exhaust will fit a h6? The exhaust looks the same on my h6 compared to the xt and this would be a better option than having a muffler shop build be an exhaust for me. AmSnow440
Love the ELH! I don't care what anyone says lol. Thanks for the comparison! Haha no problem. I just did it yesterday, but it's still a little too raspy for my taste. I think I may get a resonator welded into the mid pipe to reduce some of the rasp and create a deeper boxer tone. squire
well I have not heard from anyone about fitment of the xt cxracing exhaust on my h6 so I have ordered it anyway and will see how much work I have to do to make it fit.
MDKSDMF
if your skeptical, just have an exhaust shop fabricate a custom catback for your car. It may be a cheaper route than some of the name brand systems.
Blitz2
if your skeptical, just have an exhaust shop fabricate a custom catback for your car. It may be a cheaper route than some of the name brand systems. Yes and no. I had a shop fab up a dual for my MR2 once... labor was $270 (and that was 10 years ago) and still had to buy the two $150 mufflers... and they just basically welded onto my stock b-pipe. And as we know, MR2's don't have a very long exhaust route. Not to mention any generic garage will have mild steel mig welders or use flux core. Since their welding is pretty erratic at best it comes out looking like the tin man sneezed. Not the sort of quality I like when I'm paying over $300 in labor with $300~ in parts. At that point I think it's better to grab something from a respectable company, then all it takes is a few jack stands, some socket wrenches and a ton of PB blast (if you're like me and from an area with snow 5 months out of the year and they salt the roads). Unless you have a friend that welds and likes weekend fab jobs for the price of a BBQ, 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for... or you pay a lot and still get taken for a ride. Just been my experience. Which is why I fab up my own stuff now.
