Heat
What do you guys think of this? Does anyone have something similar? I think the European (fake) license plates people put on their BMW/other Euro born cars look cool. (although slighly corny) I'm thinking of ordering a Japenese one for my LGT. http://www.autogeek.net/japaneseplate.html
Gire
Go for it. Just don't get the one that translates to "I love little boys".
Heat
They had to get my '09 LGT from VA so the bumper already had screw holes in it. So I'm seriously thinking about seeing how this looks.
Gire
Wait a minute, you aren't actually thinking of driving around with a fake plate on the front of your car are you? These things are just for fun, like when you are showing your car at a hot import nights or somehting similar. Cops will bust you.
Heat
I see that you're from Vancouver. In the majority of the states, there is no requirement that you have a valid state issued plate in the front, only in the rear. As a result, many people purchase personalized plates for the front. Some people with Euro made cars here will get a fake Euro plate for the front.
edekba
depends what state In California we need a front plate.
Gire
Heat- That's a crazy rule, letting people put any kind of plate on their front... but if that's the case, go for it. Could you put a fake plate that looked similar to your rear plate but had different numbers on it? And where are you from exactly?
Heat
I just did some quick googling... looks like there are about 20 states which do not require a front license plate in the US. So roughly 30 do require a front license plate. I'm in West Virginia.

Heat
PhilT, that's precisely the answer I received from a close friend. I agree that the Euro plates are corny... can't help but think they look really nice though. We'll see.
JonLGT
I have a real Japanese plate I used at the last car show I was at to cover up the holes in my bumper. If you are going to get one, buy the real thing.

Heat
I wouldn't be opposed to getting the "real thing" or fairly close. How do the ones in the link I posted compare to your "real thing"? Thanks.
