Hops
This has been brought up quite a bit and I have not seen anybody do it yet, so I will be the first (that I know of). After my Legacy was rear ended for the second time, I decided to try it out. It's in the body shop right now and I am told the only thing needed for this to happen is '08 bumper brackets to go along with the bumper and tails. I will keep this updated. Here she is for now (parts are on order): http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/JDMChizad/0926081609-1.jpg Buy my cars!
Jerboa113
I personally dont like the new rearend. But if this is your goal then by all means consider this a bump for a major "how-to" contribution possibility. But if this is your goal then by all means consider this a bump for a major "how-to" contribution possibility. There is already a lot of discussion over who likes it and who doesn't. I'm doing it and letting those interested know how it goes. Thanks. Buy my cars!
VXCL
I was gonna do that. Let me know if the only way you get the rear reflectors is with the bumper cover. you have to buy them separate they do not come with the bumper and if i remember right tristan at kop said they were about $60 each. Is it just not pushed up or is that a fitment issue you have to tackle? It doesn't seem to be the same on the right which lends me to believe it's just not pulled tight. Anyhow, nice progress. Oh, and did you respray the front bumper?
MiniStiGuy
yeah it appears that the rear quarter panel doesn't align with the bumper OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

axis008
It's probably not attached all the way and may need the taillight to help attach. -ben
MiniStiGuy
yeah it appears that its sagging because its not mounted so it should fit 100%. I can't wait to see it finished OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
Jerboa113
+1. It makes no sense that subaru would change the body by that insignificant amount. The cost would not justify such a mold change. Hops
You guys make me laugh. It's not bolted on yet. As you can see on the right side, it fits perfectly. It's on now just for fitment. I had the front splitter piece removed from the front bumper and it will be repainted. Buy my cars!
Hops
Goes to the paint booth on Monday... I am going to leave the bottom piece black on the rear bumper; so it won't look completely like the '08, which is body-matched. Buy my cars! Jerboa113
this is great research because it should mean that users with 08 bumpers can convert to older style bumpers if they wanted to.. thanks for trying it! look forward to seeing the finished product.
