Power through stock 5MT?

very subjective question. A DD means different things to different people. Some people live their lives a 1/4 mile at a time and others haul babies. The clutch is typically your weakest link before the trans itself. There are reports of people with warranty coverage of bearings going bad on 5MT's with stock power, so luck certainly plays a role. I recall once 5MT car with some much power, finally solved his clutch problem and then proceeded to snap a drive axle.

FWIW, I DD my car with 357wtq and have had no problems with the trans itself.

ignore him, he'll go away.

So would 350-400whp be safe with a stock tranny daily driving?

My daily driver is an 05 LGT 5 speed and I'm right at 350 awhp and just under 360 ft/lbs. I don't launch the car and the stock clutch is still holding well.
