hakgwai Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I bought the shift knob around 2 months ago, just now my hand slipped off the shift knob and twisted it a bit, now the shift knob won't thread back in. Anyone have this problem?
Underdog Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Is this one of the delrin shift knobs? If so, was there some sort of heli-coil or thread insert in the knob? The Crimson Dynamo
hakgwai Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 yea this is the delrin one. black. i duno...i have no idea
LGT Dave Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Is this one of the delrin shift knobs? If so, was there some sort of heli-coil or thread insert in the knob? No, the threads are in the delrin material itself.
BigBad Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I have had one for some time now and never had that problem. It's a great product. It's as solid as a rock. Are you sure you had it threaded on all the way to the end of the shaft to begin with? Did some of the threads break off inside?
hakgwai Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 yea i had it threaded in all the way till i couldn't turn it anymore. i'll guess i'll go try again to thread it in. cant see the threads as they're further in
Mitch Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Might want to ask Jon at Caspolis. If I'm going faster than you, Move Right.
