ryobi1
Based on everyones requests, I have been working on a design for the 2010-2011 models. As I do not have a new Outback, I purchased a cubby on ebay. Thanks to a couple owners I have been able to do so testing. Here is a link to my website for additional pictures. The latest version sits a little higher. Hopefully it will allow for better access to the heat controls and display. I hope to have pictures of the revised version soon. http://www.cubbymounts.com/2010-2012.html http://www.cubbymounts.com/uploads/1/0/2/7/1027811/1300338548.png
soloz2
Just got my mount for my 06 Legacy. Works well with my TomTom. It sticks out farther than I thought it would (and I would like) but overall it works great. Will try and get some pics soon! Current: 16 Crosstrek Premium w/ Eyesight & 05 Outback XT 5MT Past Subies: 14 FXT Premium, 14 WRX hatch, 06 Legacy 2.5i SE 5MT, 98 Outback wagon
JPU1
My new Roadmate works great with the CubbyMount! the only issue I've found in that the ball on the arkon is not a soft "Grippy" material. The unit has a tendency to change angles when you touch it too roughly. But none the less, it looks great! http://i55.tinypic.com/i2txdw.jpg Now what i would like to do is put a USB hub in the cubby, give it juice from the car somehow, and plug everything in back there to eliminate the wires. I just moved to VA Beach/Hampton Roads area and need this guy to get me everywhere. It's a permanent fixture for the time being!
Legacy585
I'm thinking of getting one of your mounts for the 2011 Legacy. My question is: when my Garmin is not in place, can the cubby still close with the mount still in place?
ryobi1
The mount is very easily removed. On the 2011 it is held on by a very strong velcro type material. Once removed, the cubby will close.
PearlJam09
Can someone with a 2005-2009 LGT with the cubby mount measure the width of the hinge on the mount itself. I hid two 12V DC power outlets in the back of the cubby, and want to know if the mount will fit between them, or if it will require more work. Many thanks. Qckslvr
Has anyone tried to mount their Garmin on this piece using this mount? If so, you have a picture? http://www.google.com/imgres?q=garmin+nuvi+mount&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&biw=1240&bih=538&tbm=isch&tbnid=Qe6RDxQA0vYXFM:&imgrefurl=http://www.ioffer.com/i/71925791&docid=JLG5rr87Ts5t6M&w=300&h=300&ei=YZ06TquYKcPUgQfn0aHPBg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=265&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=138&start=0&ndsp=10&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=76&ty=91 All photo credits go to ioffer.com. ryobi1
Since this mount does not pivot in the middle, it will not fit. http://cdn101.iofferphoto.com/img/item/719/257/91/31343.gif Since the Arkon mount does, it clear the top of the cubby. http://www.cubbymounts.com/uploads/1/0/2/7/1027811/9107981.jpg?129?8655603?8494317?5858593?7658127?1787942?8454957?8636227?8430204?3325252 Since I had to change my URL, here is a link to my new site with more details. www.cubbymounts.com
Fastball
Edit: Okay I took the time and read all 14 pages and I get it. Original mount won't work.

TrailBreaker
Anyone know if the suction mount to the adapter plate stays put during the extreme heat/cold of Canadian summers/winters?
