JBLU24 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 sounds a bit high....try vendor: import image i think it comes out to something like 6XX.
JBLU24 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 oops nevermind i coulda sworn i was talking to someone that ordered that setup from them and it came out to less......maybe prices changed
bigb3630123 Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 no labor.... just parts shipped...
TravisS Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Sounds like a good deal to me. Revolutions Performance charges $857.22 + shipping And before I bought the open box deal I did a bit of looking around on the interweb. Most other places charged very similar.
Boostjunkie Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 800 for parts and labor sounds ok.:lol: $800 INSTALLED for an ACT clutch AND flywheel?!? That is a price that will NEVER happen unless someone likes to work on cars for nothing. I actually have a couple ACT SB5-HDMM clutch kits and matching Streetlite flywheels in stock as well. PM me if you would like a price quote.
SubLo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 oops nevermind i coulda sworn i was talking to someone that ordered that setup from them and it came out to less......maybe prices changed Me? Import Image got me the ACT Sprung 6-puck and ACT LWFW for $677 shipped Install charges weren't bad at all $250. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
Boostjunkie Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 The 6 puck ACT's are cheaper than the full facing versions. I believe they have also gone up in price a bit recently.
f1anatic Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I have paid 800 for an ACT clutch-FW combo. Labor is another 4-500ish dollars.
FPerron Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Me? Import Image got me the ACT Sprung 6-puck and ACT LWFW for $677 shipped Install charges weren't bad at all $250. I just ordered a 40bb turbo (like yours) from TDC. Will my stock clutch survive?
SubLo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I just ordered a 40bb turbo (like yours) from TDC. Will my stock clutch survive? In the near-term with not much abuse, sure. Mine lasted a couple thousand mile before I roasted it trying to pull my truck a few feet Long-term, abuse, and/or frequent track visits, I don't think so. Congrats man! I hope it gets here soon and that you enjoy it! I love mine! ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...

But, the OP says he ordered a Stage I. That's not a full "race" clutch is it? ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
Boostjunkie Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Could be. Not sure. But, the OP says he ordered a Stage I. That's not a full "race" clutch is it? What some might refer to as a "Stage 1" clutch is the full facing disk with the HD pressure plate. Oddly enough, the the 6 puck clutches which hold more power are actually a little cheaper, albeit not nearly as smooth engaging and easy to drive.
bigb3630123 Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Boost Junkie Pm me a price for the stage 1 full face clutch kit with a fly wheel that will match. I need one here within the next month
what Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 This may be a dumb question, but if ACT has clutches and flywheels that fit the LGT, how come they dont list as having anything for the LGT? Anyone know why if they do have something that works they wouldnt list it? Liability factor maybe? Thanks for any info.

The kit that everyone uses on their LGT is actually for an 06+ WRX. The clutch kit only works on our cars if used with ACT 06+ WRX flywheels, an OEM 06+WRX flywheel or other aftermarket equivalent.
bigb3630123 Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Do you recommend the ACT light weight flywheel or the WRX OEM flywheel
Boostjunkie Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Do you recommend the ACT light weight flywheel or the WRX OEM flywheel I like the Streetlite.
f1anatic Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Do you recommend the ACT light weight flywheel or the WRX OEM flywheel You should get the ACT LTWT flywheel. You will love the car - much smoother, springs forward much faster (LTWT flywheel is almost half the weight of the OEM GT dual mass "free "dyno-unmeasurable" horsepower" - but be prepared for some NVH. You will soon learn how to avoid it and it will dissapear somewhat as things bed in. The clutch will engage smoother too.

My Spec clutch is starting to slip, and it was recommended to me to try ACT clutches, so I might give that a try. I will be replacing mine soon, both the flywheel and clutch.
fweasel Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I just ordered a 40bb turbo (like yours) from TDC. Will my stock clutch survive? Yes. No. Maybe. Depends on how you drive. ignore him, he'll go away.
