RaceComp Engineering
So I had stated much earlier this year that I wanted to have a "meet" here at the shop. We hadn't done it in the past because our old location was office space with a great parking lot in the back, but wouldnt have been a good format at all. This year ,early summer was getting too hot so we didnt want people standing around being sweaty and my Speed/ALMS schedule was crazy also, so here we are in November !! So Saturday November 24th( yes 2 days after Thanksgiving) from 11-3, we will have the first Racecomp Engineering/ GTWORX meet and small open house. I say small because it is small. Nothing special. No dyno's, no 900whp time attack cars, no 7 post shake rigs, or F1 engine build rooms. Just a simple office and shop. Oh and this is a family event, so no, there wont be any half naked women in bikini's and Daisy Dukes with their butts hanging out either. So yes bring the kids !! What we will have is some food, alot of Subaru's, PS3 with GT5 demo on a large HD screen and a simulator seat set up. We will raffle off RCE springs( yellows, Blacks ,Wagons, and Evo springs. We hope to have some RCE t-shirts also. Limited quantities, so get there at 11. Why Thanksgiving weekend?..well its either now or next year. I figured,... drop the wife off at Columbia Mall and come over and have a hotdog !! Or bring the wife and kids and hang out a bit. Being in Elkridge, Maryland we are between Baltimore and Washington. Arundle Mills is 5mins away and Columbia Mall is 10. I know, I know..alot of people will be out of town, but alot will be in town, so its a wash !! If you are in town, stop by. THings worth mentioning: Jackie from Annapolis Subaru will be here and set up. Chad Block from CBRD will come ( because I went to his open house). He will hopefully drive something crazy from his fleet of exotics. Crazy Ken will provide music and large screen for GT5. Project Grocery Getter will be on display(lol) and rides available.(first and last event before it goes bye):sadbanana: As well as the usual cast of RCE employees, Mike, Drew, Dan( Boost Junkie) and maybe Jeff. We will have food and drink, but IFyou want to bring something, no worries, but not mandatory. Evo, Porsche, Mercedes clubs members also might filter in. We hope to have some customer cars here for rides. Prodrive RB320 STI, Ohlins Fixed Perch STI, RCE Tarmac 2 STi and the list goes on. I am looking for people with certain packages who will attend and capable to taking rides for demo ( casual) purposes. Because we havent had a meet before I have no promo photo's to use ..lol. Below are some pics of the shop( for those who havent seen them). Directions coming soon. At any rate, we hope you can attend and we hope to have fun. cheers- http://www.rcephotos.com/photos/albums/album43/RCEGTW.sized.jpg http://www.rcephotos.com/photos/albums/album19/DSCN2168.sized.jpg http://www.rcephotos.com/photos/albums/album39/Solstice_GXP_turbo_kw_install.jpg http://www.rcephotos.com/photos/albums/album40/PGG_HID_lights.sized.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/presserkrolld/Miata1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/presserkrolld/Miata2.jpg Thanks for your business and support !! slimjoe
Sounds pretty awesome, a friend (from the 2.5rs forums) and I should be there. Any recommendations on directions or just map it with google/mapquest. If someone with a LGT and Tarmac 1's could be there... ^_^ edit: Oh, from NJ it looks pretty easy. Just 295 (to save on tolls) to 95 to 895 to 1. Excellent.

Gmachine
I will try very hard to make this meet. Myles, Thanks for the great deal on the Ohlins coilovers last year. If you like you can add my 06 Spec B to the list of "customers cars for rides". Seems only fair. fingers crossed, Dave
