I have been at 270 whp since January and I am already wanting more. Its always fast at first, but then your mind slows it down over time....sooner or later it will be a FMIC, upgraded turbo....etc....

But I hear ya....

I was just reading this post of mine from October of last year and my predictions were right.....

Look for some LGT or WRX drag videos on youtube. Against rwd cars, it looks like the Subie is halfway down the track by the time the rwd car gets off the line.

Good thing, too, because they catch up awful quick!

Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!

all those mods and just 270? Don't you usually get that with stage 2 and a tune?

depends on the dyno as well.

altitude, whether or not the tuner was distracted by porn at time of tuning, ambient temperature, time of day, etc etc

car for sale. PM me!

it bothers me that different dynos should have different numbers.

there should be a better device that should be able to measure the "true" whp.

Yeah. Bugs me too. Essentially, OEMs and tuners can state just about anything they want when compared to other OEMs and tuners. I'm going to assume that within each, they're using the same dyno and same calibrations so that their numbers are only good relative to the same cars with different mods and other cars in their own lines only as comparison tools.

I sincerely wish the IEEE, ASME or some other body would layout a framework for automotive dyno standards and that all OEMs (at least) would have to state their numbers accordingly.

Why does it really matter? Dynos are meant to be there so you can reliably tune a car, and show progression. Most folks just want to do it so they can brag about it...

Just be happy with your tune. For years there weren't dynos...

It matters to me and I can speculate a large percentage of the performance oriented car buying public, not just us gearheads and/or folks wanting to brag (true). I'm thinking more about new car stats than anything else as I can imagine one manufacturer to the next has significantly varying methods of stating performance numbers today and some of us want to take that into account in our purchases.
