  1. Seven years since last update. Moved onto an Ascent...red of course.
  2. 320/360 on a dyno is where I ended up when I had my wagon. Made for fantastic fun on the track and the street for several years. Output shaft bearing went, but transmission itself help up fine. Near the end, 3rd syncro was getting a little crunchy. Congrats on getting it back!
  3. I thought I saw a post here somewhere, but damn if I can't find it again. Regards to switching the OEM Mont Blanc bars from US LGT integrated side rails to fit Outback raised rails. I've got the OEM bars, but want to mount them to a Forester which has raised side rails. Seems that the adjustable arm of the Mont Blanc OEM rack won't reach under the raise rail. I have seen very similar feet that are supposed to fit raised rail applications, but not sure if it is just a switch of the adjustable gripper arm that reaches down and clamps to the side rail. If so, I'd just replace that and keep my current racks.
  4. Just south of the river from you ronzo_the_great, although won't be in a LGT for much longer.
  5. GRP sedan in front of the MA State House most days of the week on Beacon St.. Not sure state or city official.
  6. GRP sedan 5AT in front of the MA State House around 400 PM 6/14. Looked to be stock and great shape. Staffer or media?
  7. I organized a NASIOC meet once. Was popular to boot! Having it at a bar probably had something to do with it... But seriously, I do follow that NASIOC thread, sometime when the stars align for timing and location, I may show up. As far as the NBPT crowd goes, surprised there are as many modified LGTs around as there are. Hope to see more of you around.
  8. Bronze LGT sedan, lowered, with aftermarket exhaust, and FMIC. 10/13 afternoon on Newburyport I95 exit.
  9. Week or so ago, silver LGT sedan, high spoke count wheels in Newburyport. Slightly lowered with exhaust. Believe NH plates.
  10. Wednesday I spotted a silver LGT sedan with wing, lowered and high spoke count wheels with exhaust. Newburyport, MA.
  11. Spied somebody's 5th Gen LGT up on the lift at Motive Auto Works last week. Does that count?
  12. Spotted 005GTWagon about a half-dozen times now; everytime I've been walking, on a bike or in the wife's car. One of these days!
  13. 8/26: silver wagon with modified exhaust, around 5:15PM on Low St. in Newburyport, MA
  14. Bumping this one... Anybody have luck sourcing GroupN rear LCA bushings in the States? My Whitelines are worn and due for replacement.
  15. That transmission noise were the two output shaft bearings starting to go. Few of the rollers were pitted. Got them replaced at Synaptic3, they are a few minutes down the road from my future in-laws. Underdog, since I now have a flat driveway and a garage, I'll be tackling some of my stuff on my own now. Will keep you in mind for the next round. Still haven't replaced the y-pipe yet. One of the hangers finally rotted out. Ah, the joys of car ownership in NE. Other than that, the car is still going strong as it starts its ninth year with me.
  16. Cool, I do believe it was your wife driving.
  17. Saw a modified LGT wagon, a fairly rare sight: Modified (lowered, gun metal wheels, exhaust) Atlantic blue on 16E in West Somerville around 1:45PM Sunday, 5 May.
  18. grp outback xt on winter alloys (non stock) a few times in Newburyport. Thinking a local?
  19. Coming up on five years and still running fine. Do have the beginnings of some transmission noise which will be on the list this summer. Car has been put on active 50+ mile a day commute duty. Great timing! Other than ProSport gauge issues (not going to use them again), I think the build worked out really well. Sad to see DSG go, but their creation will live on!
  20. Red LGT was me. Sorry for not noticing the pacing...
  21. Four years and still running fine. Have a few leaks in the header and the gauges currently have sending wire issues.
  22. Mont Blanc doesn't offer longer bars correct? Fitment guide for the US model (Gripper) has bar widths tied to roof rail width. Can't seem to find any European pages that show that you can just buy the bars either.
  23. Silver LGT sedan on 95 South, exited onto Route 9 around 4PM on Saturday 2/26. Got a thumbs up from the driver. May have spotted a cage? Not sure...
  24. Interested in seeing how your 4WD system works out in the end. sssuubbscrriiibeeed
