PhilT
Heard a loud clunk this morning on the way into work Looked under the car and found the rear sway bar bushing clamp broken off, and the bracket mount cracked. It's a Cusco sway bar, and I fitted the Energy Suspension bushings only around 4 months ago. I was very surprised to see how the clamp had broken, never heard of that before. Going to upgrade to the AVO RSB mount, only wish I had done sooner. whitetiger
this just happened to me today too. Even with the perrin reinforcement brackets, the rear mount broke clean off. The other side had a crack similar to what you had. Im gonna orcer the avo mounts since the perrin ones seem to do nothing.
j0ebert
Progress has reinforcement brackets as well and they are pretty stout. As for the bushing brackets a) make sure they are tightened down all the way (if the bolts back out at all and allow play in those brackets it's only a matter of time before they break and b) sometimes a large washer over the top helps to firm them up. BigBad
I've had good luck with the AVO brackets, running cusco F&R sways. No problems in over a year.
