rates did go up, but i dont think by that much. last time i calculated, it was about 14 bucks per mile over the speed limit. i think you said 11, so itll be around 150 bucks. its just a guess.

i just got done with traffic school about a month ago. give up 8 hours of your life, meet some people with some interesting stories, and laugh! (if you go to comedy traffic school). i got hooked up with 4 passes to the improv, so it was worth it. i had the option of doing online, but i just did not want to spend my whole day staring at a computer.

Since hangar is a post whore, im sure online traffic school would be a breeze!!

how old are you?

even if you are guilty, plead with the judge or get a lawyer

even if it means paying more for laywer/court fees/etc > ticket

i'd rather pay now than later with insurance rates

edit...

down the road, when you're innocent, and you goto court

judge will take one look at your history back in Aug '07 and you wont have a chance to fight it in court if you decide to

:nono: This morning i was pulled over by a motorcycle cop for driving 46 mph in a 30 mph on Garfield where intersects with Garvey

The weird thing is i don't think i've ever reached 46 mph since that was just a small stretch of street on Garfield. I might've been driving a bit above 40 mph and came to a rolling stop at the light, that's when i see the cop in my rear view mirror

THIS IS MY FIRST FREAKING TICKETS MANG!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO....

When will i receive the ticket notice?

What do you have to do when i go to court?

Any estimation on how much the ticket is gonna be?

Is traffic school gonna suck???

:sigh: Things have not been going smooth for me at all lately...

It sucks anytime you get a ticket but damn Hanger calm down you sound like a complete noob (well, in fact you are but you know what I mean ;))!

You'll most likely get a formal notice at yo' baby mama's place within 3 weeks. Since rules differ between courts just carefully read the notice and follow the instructions.

You're lucky since you said this is your first ever ticket that means you're eligible for traffic school (you should take that option, unless you feel confident enough to fight the ticket).

I assume Alhambra P.D. pulled you over? If that's the case then the fine shouldn't be that much. It's 16 over the limit and issued by the municipal L.E. so I'm guessing around $150 plus most likely another $39 for "court processing fee" for opting the traffic school and the actual cost for the school (around $45).

And unfortunately...yes, traffic school will SUCK!

But the good thing is most probably you'll have the choice of taking it online, making it cheaper and more convenient. I've gone that route a few times already.

Sorry to hear about your run-in this morning but at least you won't get a point on your record after you take care of this. You KNEW you're due for one haha!

online traffic school is best...it doesn't even take that long and you can do it in the bathroom while taking a crap.

Um, depending on what online schools you're allowed to choose from. From my experience they're not exactly a walk in the park either. The program is designed so they make sure you go through every single section and you do need to set aside a few hours to complete it.

But at least you can do it on your own time and at your pace, plus you get to take the test as many times as you want.

i'm gonna get me a Escort 8500 down the road, my friend Tim said he's gonna get one too

ORDER ONE NOW!

I got one (w/ blue LED) about 3 years ago and I never leave home w/o it whenever I'm in either the FD or the Legacy. That unit is totally worth every single penny!

Of course you still have to keep your eyes open and exercise common sense when you drive but I cannot stress enough how important it is to have one! Mine has saved me from at least 40 tickets, NO JOKE!

i heard that the program is made that it requires certain amount of time set before you can click to the next page

my friend did it when he's working, finish one page, go back to work then came back and get to another page, and he did it in 1 working day
