How wide were the wheels/tires you had on the 3.0R?

Seems the way the new body style is, they can take some fairly wide wheels.

michelin pilot a/s sports 235/50/18 dia 27.3" a little too big, they rub when turning.

9.4" width

good all season tires

better than the re92a or the bf goodrich kdws t/a

lgt wagons, boring, period. i've seen the lgt wagons in person they might be a little sleek but are still plain and boring. the 08 sedan looks far better.

Oh, red beast, now I see you switched to the ultimate fugliness, 08 Outback Sport. Gotta love that painted faux pass cladding.

But if that rocks you... all the power (2.5i) to you.

 faux pass cladding = no real plastic cladding like on Outback, just painted imitation...

Btw, did anyone notice that the front overhang on 2008 Impreza hatch is LONGER than rear overhang.... I can't remember another car with such a "feature"...

i get real paint for the two-tone. no clad

and on the highway my little wheezer got 32 mpg with only 160 miles on it.

with the ac on using cruise control at 65

i took the "sport" over the regular impreza because iz get rear disc brakes and the great .6" extra ground clearance.

It's fugly, period. After seeing it in person few times one get used to it, but it's still ugly, with the bulgy roof and hood. I think sedan looks somewhat better though.

This all makes you wonder how next Legacy will look like.

Bugeye > rest of them

Voids everything you just said

Congrats on the Sport Beast!

I like it... even though it's the "1st" car EVAR to have a longer front overhang than rear.

no joke. what an asinine comment to make. I was reading the Brit rag 'EVO' today....two cars popped out at me that once again prove it's quite the norm

I was looking at a picture of Impreza 2.5i and I noticed that there is no temp. guage. Whats up with that?

no temp gauge on the outback either but then...who really needs one.

when the engine is cold a blue light comes on in the dash by the tach.

it goes off when the engine is warm enough.

Wow, beancounters targeting poor temp gauge! What light does come up if it actually overheats?

It think it's very lame. Say, in mountain driving you can get coolant temp up from normal level. I'd like to know when the temp is somewhat elevated, before engine actually gets overheated.

I dont think I can call the Impreza an economy car any more. I think its got alot more to it than a Civic or Corolla. And the fact that it puts out 170 hp.
