Took the 08 WRX to the strip tonight, pretty good time for being at 5800ft elevation.

60': 2.02

330': 5.993

1/8: 9.353 @ 73.99

1000': 12.220

1/4: 14.670 @ 92.47mph

only mods so dar are a megan racing downpipe and cobb stage 2 OTS map. I am running the stock CBE exhaust (1.9') which is probably really hurting my numbers. As soon as my SPT exhaust comes off backorder I will see what I can get.

I can't wait til I go stg 2 on the STI, however it'll be dp and crosspipe only. Leaving stock cans on the car.

^^^

Your 60ft is better than any of your LGT runs. That is why the times are close because the MPH is way down which indicates power.

My 60's were consistently better in the WRX and I was launching it the same as I do the legacy (4.5K with a little clutch slip). It just takes off faster, probably because the turbo spools alot quicker, since it is tiny.

It was funny because after my first run , I could tell I was going very fast across the line. I thought I was going to be in the 15's.

WRX/STI's seemed to consistantly pull better 60ft's than LGT for some reason. I have never ran better than a 1.8 60 ft. However I also try not to leave any bits of my trans at the starting line as well.

I ran 1.78's in the LGT when she was in all her glory. Now, it's just 2.0's but that's also because I'm not really launching her over 2800 rpm's.

We need some stage 1 LGT/OBXT times for the timeslip thread! Also, we have only 19 times in there, lots of times out floating around, so please post up those slips in the thread!

That was one of my better R/T's as well, although I was more concerned about getting a solid launch than beating the other guy off the line. On my first run of the night my R/T was like 2.5 seconds ... lol

^^ Great time! Good thing R/T doesn't matter... did you want to give the other guy a head start?

You'll need the meth as well ;)

Nice time Dave, I don't think I can match that !

I'm holding off on the meth for now. Perhaps next winter will be EWG, Headers and meth. A little bit at a time.... My build is on a budget!

well, it happened. burned out my clutch yesterday on the very first run of opening track day. :( I think with the stickier beefy tires and a warm track, the car didn't like my massive launch and the clutch gave me the big FU. I did manage to run a 13.15 ET, 107.6 mph trap and my best 60' was a 2.34 sec. just rolled off the line, no launches. Hope to be installing an upgraded clutch this week since the car's being worked on for the turbo upgrade.
