All but the Eclipse were used when I got them, I started driving in 1991.

1979 Mustang (4-cyl, heavy mods) 16yrs old = wrecked, totaled

1980 Mustang (4-cyl) = JUNK!

1985 Chevy Cavalier, weak but reliable, drove the crap out of it through college = several wrecks, never totaled, finally just parked it after:

1997 Eclipse GST, turbo, quick = traded when I got married (MISS THAT CAR!) no wrecks

1996 Saturn SL2, 5speed pep = 180* into oncoming traffic in frosty, hilly NC mountains = thank God I didn't hit anything!!!

1995 Chevy Corsica, auto, some mods = junk, no wrecks

1999 Mazda pickup, reliable, weak = no wrecks

1999 Subaru Forester, 5speed, intake mods = no wrecks

First Subaru was wife's 1995 Legacy wagon, great to drive in snow in NC mountains. AWD was a different setup back then, but I could get full engagement out of the 4EAT if I loaded it going into a turn and shifted into D2, then I saw what all the hub-bub was about!

Finances are probably going to allow for a GT in the next year. Man alive, I love driving the crap out of my 5-speed Forester, but I'm probably going to sell out to the wife (and my laziness) and get a 5EAT. On the condition I go Stage II.

Short list for me as well, I hope to be adding to it soon. The 6-year college plan has put a real damper on car purchases.

1989 Buick Century 'Custom' *RIP* - Baby blue ext./ Blue int.; chrome luggage rack; wire spoke wheels.

1986 Volvo 240 DL Wagon *RIP* - Dark Blue with white skull & crossbones on hood; 440,000 miles!

198(7?) Nissan 300ZX (Z31) *POS* - White with rust accents ext./maroon int.; digital dashboard (That thing was awesome with the horsepower curve and LEDs); T-Tops; went to do a tune-up one day and when I took off the cap and rotor, the distributor broke off in my hand!

Next car: '06 LGT GRP 5MT or '0? VW Rabbit TDI -> GTD conversion...

Back from the dead, thanks to a link from this thread.

I won't do the entire list but I'll post the ones I actually have photos of...

1991 VW Corrado (my first Volkswagen), actually my 6th car but first that I have a photo of...

http://www.fleur-design.net/cars/OldYellowCorrado.jpg

1990 Honda CRX lowrider (times have changed quite a bit), number 7

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/54157/575128ShagCRX.jpg

1984 VW Rabbit G60 (Supercharged 1.8 from Corrado), actually number 15

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/107331/854988OldG60Rabbit3.jpg

1990 VW Corrado, number 19

http://www.fleur-design.net/cars/OldCorrado.jpg

Neat trivia about this car, it got run over (fender & hood) by a really big truck (think about a big flatbed that would haul trees) and ended up being traded to a friend for his old drag car's stripped chassis. He inturn stripped the Corrado and turned it into a 10 second naturally aspirated 20V drag car. You can see it now at race101.com.

1987 VW Scirocco 2.1L 16V, number 21

http://www.fleur-design.net/cars/OldScirocco2.jpg

1983 VW Rabbit G60 drag car, number 22

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/53966/340303G60DragCar.jpg

1994 Honda Civic (daily driver while I had the drag car), number 23

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/54157/340351DVC00638.JPG

1990 VW Cabriolet (2.0L crossflow motor), number 27

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/61540/414184cabbyshot.jpg

2003 Suzuki Aerio SX awd, number 31

http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/95/95907/folders/90753/733003AerioFog4.jpg

2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT, number 36

All I can say is I want a wife like yours (a wife that will let me own a lotus and an LGT and be content driving a 98 VW....just spectacular).

As for me:

1972 Porsche 911 (rust bucket/seized engine which I restored over 3yrs and is still my baby today)

1984 BMW 318i (my dad felt guilty for me as my only car was a Porsche on jacks w/no engine. spent <1000K and bought me this)

1994 Eagle Vision (college car...hand me down)

2005 LGT (finally graduated and got a real job car)
