In the spirit of getting back on topic, I recently purchased the 2.0 update and am very disappointed.

I live in the DC area. My housing subdivision was built in 2003 and still does not show up on the new set of maps. So, this is very very disappointing. I feel like I just poured $250 into the toilet. Maybe the maps are updated someplace else, but I'm seeing it here in the DC metro area.

If anyone would like me to send them money for no apparent reason, please send me your mailing address and to whom you'd like me to make the check out to and I'll send you a check (just kidding, please don't send me your address).

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

That's too bad but I would imgine that POI info has been updated and I would bet that was where they put most of their efforts. Do yourself and other OEM nav owners a favour and call 1-800-Subaru3 and let them know about the ommision on the new disk. As I said in a previous post, the customer service guy I talked with seemed genuinely interested in my comments and feedback.

It sucks that you're not happy about this. I wonder if Kenwood is buying outdated Navteq maps? (maybe at a discount?!) Does your development show up on other mapping sources like Mapquest, Yahoo Maps, or Expedia?

I assume this also means that there's no entering new destinations while moving, then? How 'bout any other new features?

My development shows up on mapquest and most online sources. I'll take the other contributors suggestion and call Subie about it.

No other features I can tell. Certainly no entering any data while in motion that you couldn't enter before.

Does it have more up-to-date POIs? How about highways... like the Mixing Bowl? With all the new ramps at the mixing bowl in the past 2 years, my car always shows me flying through air, using the 1.1 DVDs.

Sorry for the delay, I've been distracted. I still get lost following the 2.0 directions. The new mixing bowl isn't on it. If the 1.1 was 6 years old, the 2.0 is only 4 years old. Seriously, though, maybe other regions besides DC are significantly updated. But DC isn't one of them.

yes, the $238.00 looks pretty steep, but at least with my Kenwood Navi, Garmin is the main vendor Kenwood licensee's with. Hence it is probably Garmin's software and not Kenwood's that you are paying. Kenwood is in the middle here to make a little money. I have yet to check out what the Garmin updates costs. This maybe different for other Kenwood Navi's but I don't see why. Will let you know when I update my Kenwood GNA-510 Navi.

I can do you one better. I go to this bank in my area that is not a POI and it has been there for over 20 years. Oh Oh.

I have an 08 I bought in June, I dont know what version I have, but I know it doesnt know where one of the subaru Dealerships are. its off by almost a mile. I asked the dealer ship if they were ever down the road before and they said never. I guess it needs some major updating.

Just use a client like BitTorrent.

I got great rates last night ... up to 134kb/s but back to 5kb/s when i signed back on this afternoon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but once you begin d/l'ing you also become a host allowing people to d/l from you what you have already d/l'ed ... of course you have to be online.

Grrrr!!! Will somebody please listen and post a currently valid seed??? I know how to use BitTorrent people - that's not the problem. No Seed = No download/upload. The link posted a few threads up is useless right now. Need another.
