antny Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I did hear if you are in a state with no 93 octane the MS6 does not like it, because it was tuned to run on 93 and on 91 it will pull timing like no other and it becomes a slug. kopy_kat Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 we all know about ms6's heat soak issues.. and running anything less than 93 octane.. but is that something of the past?? last time (4 months ago) i was on a ms6 forum, there supposedly a reflash and heat soak was a thing of the past. well maybe not a thing of the past but not so much an issue as it used to be.. i could be wrong.. John M Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 The only way for a flash to mitigate the effects of heatsoak is for it to be less agressive than before, and thus make less power than originally advertised. I drove both.. and, well, it just wouldn't be fair to the MS6. Though, I haven't driven the S60R yet... that reminds me I need to check out out from the fleet. Lessee, just shot the Miata PRHT, doing a comparo of Civic Si vs. Civic Hybrid... then I might be able to fit in something in like that.
