Anyone Off Roaded Their LGT?

Recommended Posts

I've gone through mud and snow and gravel and whatnot. I don't think my car would do well in the baja 1000 or as a rock climber but it has shown that it can make it through anything that your stock explorer or blazer could. Hell I've seen it do better than those in the snow, but I think that was becasue their drivers were idiots.

As what the guy did wrong, I think it was putting a tape number on the door, it would have been better to put it on the window so you don't have to worry about the paint job.

Well, he got a couple kick ass pictures out of it anyway. :) Nice shots.

I won't even mention my offroad adventures since I'm exempt, but Subaru's kick ass at it.

I've only done the drive around in snow trick. 2' of snow overnight, without the plows out is great. That same night, I convinced some kid in a '90s Camaro to try to beat me off the line on a plowed road. That was one of the funniest, saddest attempts I've seen. He ended up doing a 180 off the line into the curb, I just launched and kept on going. He was still there ~1hr later w/ the tow truck. I honked and waved out of respect.

back from the dead

I just did my first rallyx in my specB. It was fun. I'm not used to the extra width and plowed through as many comes as I've hit in the last 3 years combined in just one day. I did however have very fast times (no counting cones of course).

I will definitely do it again. Pics coming soon.

While I don't own a Legacy yet - in my current car that's FWD I still have yet to let a little dirt, mud, sand, grass, or cornfields get in the way of my destination.

When I do get the car - nothing will change.

I'm not as hard-up on aesthetics as I used to be - a few scratches will not bother me at all.

I knew a guy that bought a new Nissan Frontier (back when I was in the army) after PT he announced to everyone he was going to show it off and he had a big group of us around as he's talking about what trucks are and how you're supposed to drive them. He then took out his keys and put a length wide nasty scratch from one end of the bed to the other. He said "Now that that's done, I can drive it like a truck.". It was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

At the last auto X of the season, our local track had the rally section open. Keep in mind that it had been raining for like the past few days and it just had cleared up for the event. On the rally track were a few SUV's actually being used for what they should.... and something a lil unusual.... I know it's not a suby, but these shots were too damn good to pass up...

Needless to say that if a lowered EVO on soft rubber can do it, I think a legacy could...
