It usually winds up @ the bottom of the list, unless you can get rid of it just before warranty runs out;)

I looking at buying a B8 S4 Avant. They're bringing back the biturbo 6.

"We have confirmed with inside sources that the B8 S4 will debut with a brand new 3.0-liter TFSI bi-turbo producing 330-hp. With this powerplant Audi can nearly match the B7's 340-hp output while providing even better performance figures. Manufacturer published (conservative) 0-60mph drops from 5.4 seconds to very low 5's, while the accompanying combined fuel economy rises from 17 mpg to over 20 mpg."

I'm also curious about Pontiac/Holden G8 sportwagon. If this makes into production for the US, I'd take it over the S4 because it will be 20K cheaper, prolly more reliable in the long run, bigger, and weigh about as much as an S4.

I hate to say it, but given $50K to buy a vehicle right now it would be a diesel powered 3/4 ton 4X4 truck. Probably a Duramax, or a new Powerstroke if I had to buy today.

Pshhh. No, the RX400h! :)

I woulda said 535xi, but I tooks a spin in my dad's 330xi this weekend and:

1. The run flat tires are god awfully loud

2. The headliner squeaks

3. The transmission is impossible to shift smoothly. Every shift is notchy.

1.) Change the tires to non run flats if it's that bad or change the brand of tire, tread pattern and wear has more influence on noise than the run flat design.

2.) Visit the dealership, it is most likely the interior cover for the sunroof.

3.) Practice driving his car more often. It takes me quite awhile to perfectly get down a clutch take up/throttle position/gearing too. Practice makes perfect.

Supposedly BMW offers money toward new tires, but my dad hasnt be home to call and set up an appointment. With only a year left on the lease (and theres only 17,000 miles on the tires) he really wasn't anticipating having to pay even a cent for new tires.

The clutch is very nice, but it shifts choppy no matter who drives and my dad says that his leg gets tired after awhile, but then he's 56.

The door handles were also peeling, which BMW fixed. With all of the 3 series I see on the road now, I imagine they had to replace thousands of these things.

That being said, the car is pretty quick, fuel efficient enough, and I really like that the exterior door handles light up when you unlock the car.

Import a legacy sti hopefully..:) if not build one from the ground up with noise reduction especially, i would love an audi type of ride without the audi type of problems.
